Man, did I over indulge over the long weekend! Had a blast though. lol  Ok, I'm back on the straight and narrow today and the rest of the week. My downfall? Hard cider on Sunday and Cheetos on Monday. {sigh}

Back in my food rut today and I'll do my best to get out there and walk today. Plus, water and lots of it.

What's your plan, babeeees?

Done with the horse show.  Spent yesterday tearing down the marathon course and getting everything put away AND GETTING BACK ON PLAN.  Those pesky 3 pounds I thought I lost reappeared this morning.  Actually, I was on different scales and probably dehydrated so I knew it wasn't real but it was nice to see 129 for a breif while anyway.  It will come again.

So yesterday, I got all my water in and did a good job with my food.  It is amazing to me how much I can eat sometimes.  I had salad with protein for lunch and supper and both times it was well over a cup, probably close to 2c not mushed down.  Once recently I ate a whole Wendy's small chili.  I could have never done that as a new post-op.  I haven't felt much restriction lately so I feel like I am eating a lot, then I compare it to what I see others eating and it really isn't much.  The keys are to weigh stuff at home, not to let myself get too hungry and to be careful serving my plate when out.  I don't seem to be able to count of getting full as a clue to stop eating.  I know, because I can eat that much doesn't mean I have to eat that much.

Well, we never really strayed from the straight and narrow by much. Even while out of the area on Sat when the only place we could find to eat that was inexpensive was a Pizza Hut, we ate the toppings and left the crust behind. And us sharing the personal size worked well...1/2 of just the toppings worked great.

But back on track today. I have my personal training appt this morning and then this evening quite a few of us are meeting up with Michelle & Don (Vitalady & Vitaguy) since this is there next stop. Really looking forward to it. And as hard as I tried, I was never abl;e to get in touch with MY nut to see if she would join us. Leaving messages didn't work. Since it wasn't a critical issue I guess returning my call wasn't important to her. Yes, I'm whining or ranting, take your pick.

I over-indulged too!  Between time at the hospital with the new DGD and cookouts with friends, it was not a good food weekend for me.

We went bike riding yesterday.  I hydrated before and after, but I still don't think it was enough. I spent much of the day yesterday out of commission with a migraine.  I already walked with my girlfriend this morning.  I feel much better than yesterday, but I can already tell I need fluids.

DH is headed to a conference today.  I'll have the next few days not worrying about anyone, but me.  I think I need to focus on water and protein.  DS will probably see more of me than he wants with a new DGD and DH out of town.

Enjoy your short work week!

Good Morning!

I too need to get back on plan.  i overindulged this weekend, but he scale is back down..Really messes with my head., I need to make myself understand that I can not do that all the time.   I am working from Home today. Will get my nails done at "lunch" and plan to take (2) 15 minutes walks to get some sun and exercise.    Also need to get work done as I am swamped.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

I had a very hard time this weekend while away, had to become very creative with meals and will say I did have half a smores. Why, you ask, cuz everyone else was doing it! Not a good excuse and it tasted horrid and gave it to my son. Anyway, glad to see everyone, will not be posting much but I will be reading.

Sometimes I wonder what my straight and narrow is.  I typically don't eat terrible, but yesterday and ttoday I had a little biscuits and gravy.  We did stop at KFC and I had their mini bowl.  Yep - all the stuff we shouldn't eat, but it was good and I couldn't eat it all... What I  did bad on was 2 nights ago I had  BIG bowl of popcorn and ate it ALL.  The dog helped with maybe 15 pieces.  Tom even commented on how much of it I ate... i didn't have any dinner though.  I've been done more small meal/snacking.  Not sure if that works for me or not, but its on decent stuff.

I do think about my portion sizes when I start beating myself up - I keep getting told I don't eat much, but it seems like a lot to me.  that's what's important - what we believe our portion sizes should be, and not what someone else would eat.

Liz,

You will have to let us know how the visit with Vitalady goes.....if I did not have this conference I would have loved to meet her.  I still have some of her samples that I bought presurgery.

Have a great visit!!!
