3 days post op and feeling good!
Kimberlie, thank you so much for updating everyone. And thank you to all of you for supporting me. It was so nice to come back and get blasted away by the love! ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/heart.gif)
I had surgery Tuesday morning. It went smoothly, the last thing I remember was kissing my hubby goodbye and waking up in my room. I loved the pain pump. Oh it was nice.
The one disappointing part was after surgery I never once saw my surgeon. I saw his assistant, but not him. Anyway his assistant told me the surgery went off without a hitch, except for one part. I guess some of my staples came loose near the end of the surgery so he had to go back in and suture my pouch closed. What the asst. didn't even tell me was that one of my incisions was 3 inches long!! Right below the drain. Man that has been the worst pain!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/hypnotized.gif)
I didn't get out of there until the evening of the next day. They wanted me to pee after they took out the catheter and I just couldn't!! It took me 5 hours to finally need to pee. Whew!
Anyway, I'm walking and trying to get in all my fluids. I had an incident with a popsicle and made myself over full and promptly learned my lesson. It's hard to figure out the happy amount that my pouch will accept. Tiny sips, though, always tiny sips.
Today has been good, I'm walking normally and able to stand from sitting much easier.
I'm still sooooo glad I did this. I gained 3lbs of water during the surgery and lost that plus one so far. Hubby says I shouldn't weigh myself, but it keeps me motivated.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/biggrin2.gif)
After 8 long years of wanting this surgery, I am happy to say I am a loser!! hehehe![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup.gif)
Is it normal to always be paranoid that you might stretch your pouch?

Welcome home! Kelly, sounds like everything is going along normally, even the fear of stretching your pouch. Hang tough, you're doing great. Getting and staying hydrated is #1 right now. If you enjoy watching the scale, watch it. lol

Yes - normal to worry about it, but not at this stage of the game. Later when you can start eating more you need to be mindful of portions and NOT let fullness always be your indicator. Some poeple don't feel it while others do.
Congrats on your surgery! I know you've been super excited and waiting for it! Heck - I'M super excited for you!
