I'm APPROVED!!!!
Finally. I started this process over a year ago and today got the word that my insurance will cover my RNY. 
I was at work when I got the call. I don't even know who called. (surgeons office, weight management center, insurance, hospital???) I was surrounded by children making loud noises. But I DID hear that I was approved and that the hospital will call next week to schedule my pre-op testing!!
I'm SO glad they called TODAY and didn't make me wait till Tuesday to find out.
I had to wipe away tears when I hung up the phone. I was overcome with disbelief and happiness. I didn't say anything to my staff (who probably now think I'm crazy) re: what the tears were about. I kinda just want to keep it to myself for a little while longer. I want to savor it! But I'm not good at keeping secrets, so I'm sure I'll be spilling the beans all over the place. Now I just have to learn to deal with the negativity of others that I'm sure I'll come across sooner or later.
BUT FOR NOW!!!! I'm elated. Simply. Elated.
SO I'll hopefully have a date to report next week!
