Good Morning. Almost a long weekend..

Morning Gina!!   I bought a new flag last weekend and it is flying proudly.  We usually do our mulch on Memorial Weekend but with all of the kids going to camp we might just put it off and join them on Saturday.  I always hate to barge in on the MIL's time but my girls keep begging me and DH loves to go.

My DH and I are heading to Panama City Beach in Florida for a small vacation to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary (June 1st)!  I can't wait!  I am so ready to hit the beach!

Hi Gina,
Our flag pole was blown down in 2007 when a tornado came through our town.  DH and I bought a new one last year.  It is up and the flag is waving.  He now takes it down everytime the weather starts getting bad.

DGD#2 is coming to spend the night tomorrow night and spend some time Saturday  We are going to a wedding Saturday night.  Monday DD and I are going to Sam's to pick up things for our beach trip next week.  Busy weekend even with the extra day off.

Dh and I have plans most of Saturday...we start with a good friend's youngest daughter's high school graduation north of us then we have to immediately head down to Cade's Cove to meet up with relatives coming over for a picnic.

Only reason I am willing to do all this is that his mom will be there and she hasn't seen him since before surgery. She's seen photos but not him.

We would have spent the entire day up with my friend but no one asked me when to plan the family get together at Cade's Cove...they normally do this on Father's Day weekend.

Since I'm off work (laid off), the fact that this is a long weekend has escaped me. LOL

My plans? Make 5-6 dozen chocolate lollipops for the concession stand at Mini-Mac's play.

Tomorrow Mini-Mac is skipping school and we're going to Sephora for make-overs. Then I'm going to Santa Cruz to swim around the peir.

Sat I'm driving to Santa Rosa to do a long bike ride with a friend

Sun I'm doing a swim around the pier at Santa Cruz beach boardwalk again with a different group. Then dh and I will go out for our anniversary. We might see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Monday is Mini-Mac's play. Actually, she's in al 6 performances starting Sat. but we have tickets to the one that is her official performance (she does one more number in that one).

Well my plans are not as exciting as some on here but I do plan on getting my hair cut and buying myself a new bathing suit!! Can't wait to go to the store and not have to get one just because its the only one left of my size...variety!!!

Saturday Tom's working but the weather will be iffy.  Not sure what I'll do
Sunday there's an annual Memorial Weekend get together with one of Toms' friends.  Maybe I'll be able to see Alan too.
Monday - IDK - no plans of yet.  We still have frost advisories and warnings, so I can't put flowers in.  This is really late in the year for that.  I may go buy some flowers/plants and plant the flower garden.

We're officially moving to DC this weekend.  I'm driving back to Charlotte on Sat morning to help finish the packing, the movers will load the truck on Sunday and deliver and unload on Monday, then back to work on Tuesday.  We're taking our son and daughter in law out to eat on Saturday night as a farewell event, sniff, sniff I'm sad to be leaving them.  We're driving to DC on Sunday after the truck is loaded, so we'll stay in the corporate apartment on Sunday night.    It's supposed to be HOT here on Monday, so I have that to look forward to.

Tuesday morning I walk to work, no more commute.  I tell you, I'm not loving the traffic in DC AT ALL!

This weekend will not be a holiday, but will be fun nevertheless.
