Menus and Miles Thursday May 26th

Wow....my menus still seem so boring compared to what everyone else eats! But this way I know that I am getting enough protein and staying away from the bad carbs. In fact....only carbs I have been having the ones from skim milk, fruit, cottage cheese, etc. I've thrown out the Ritz crackers.

B: Protein shake w/ skim milk, unjury and SF peppermint paddy syrup  40g
S:
L: green lettuce, cheese 7g
S: cottage cheese 15g
D: protein shake 40

protein: 102

Vitamins are going good...finally able to keep them all down without the tummy being upset.  Today was a great day on the scale......FINALLY HIT THE 170s!!!!  It was a long month in the 180s and I was thinking it was a stall, but weighed this monring and down two pounds to 178.2.  Yeah!!!

At 2 months out I was probably eating less than you because I couldn't do Protein drinks until I was about 8 months out.

The BEST thing you can do for yourself is to stay away from the "bad" carbs!!!!!   You will have a much easier time on maintenance!!

As long as you are satisfied and you aren't hungry or fighting wanting more food you are doing GREAT!!!

Thanks Roz.  I have really lost desire to eat...I have to force myself to get enough in which is why I am back to the shakes.  Honestly...I could care less about eating. I know it won't stay that way but I am enjoying it for now.

I also have no desire for sweets....thank you RNY!  I made my DH cupcakes for his birthday and wasn't even tempted to lick the spoon.  We have had them on the counter for a few days and I don't even look at them twice.  The only "sweet" things that look good are fresh fruit. I've ventured out and eaten about 1/4 of an apple, a few grapes and some strawberries. So far so good on the fruit, which I am happy about.  I am avoiding all processed and fast foods like the plague....excited to see my cholesterol after all of this!!

Thanks for your suggestions and inspriation!

Today I could have moved on up to soft foods but I'm going to stay on full liquids for at least a few more days.
Protein coffee made with half cup milk splash of heavy cream 35 grams
Isopure RTD 40 grams
Cup of jello
carbmaster yogurt mixed with protein powder 30 grams
1 Baby bel gouda cheese
1 creamy Swiss laughing cow wedge

Hi Roz!!!!, been working on the boat today and wel.....I ....uuummm....didn't eat anything till about 3. Made Chinese veggies last night and seem to make plenty enough for a couple of days so had that. am now working on getting a bit of hydration going and then off to bed. Did get in my vitamins as usual and same time as always. Hope you have a wonderful weekend ...as for me I am home for the weekend and then next week I leave for a synod assembly in western Iowa for the chuch....elect a bishop ......establish mission statements and lots of fellowship. Sandy is going as well as a guest and I hope she can take the long days. Have fun people......Jeff
