Redistribution?

For me, low fat eating is more maintenance mode. I do not lose that way, but I am stable, which will be great, someday real soon. In the mean time I'm very moderate in my fat choices. I'm also midrange on the carbs. I don't want to be an extremist. I think balance is very important. And for the most part it's working.

I do not do buffets, not even if I would/could ask for the kids price. The thought of going to one makes me physically ill, I also get sick on food that sits out for too long. Nice safegard for me :D

I am very honest with myself even when I cheat, I log it, I think maybe as a sort of penance. Even on my worst day I've not exceeded 1300 calories.

Hairs no longer falling out in fact I have about 2 inches of new growth (woohoo!) so i'd say my nutritional needs are being met.

My tummy is the same or smaller, so my size 2's are fitting fabulous and I'm happy in this size.

I think I need to find a way to stop the night time snacking and stick to it and re-weigh in a couple days and I'll be okay.

Thanks for the advice and for sharing.

It  really  amazes me too how we got to  ( kindof  ) the same place  with  vastly different acting bodies  and heads  ....

like some of us can diet  ( some of us actually ENJOY eating  a structured food plan day after day  quiet as its kept ) ..some of us cant to save our lives ...

some of us  are exercise  mavens and  others lifelong couch potatoes

some of us are hardcore  excess food addicts

and some just aren't

Im sure someone  out there  is  reading and recognizing themselves in  EVERY  post lol..and we are helping  SOMEBODY .

  big hugs  Ava

me too! you can take 2 people with the same co-morbidities and give them the same surgery, watch them both do their own thing and end up near the same place. They can even start 100 pounds different from each other.
It's a constant learning curve, isn't it?

You can really eat 3 cups of veggies at a meal? I always feel like I eat too much when I eat salad, it doesn't fill me at all and i constantly fear over eating. give me 5 baby carrots however and I'm great, full quickly (even well chewed). wackiness.

I like to think that anytime someone has a meltdown and shares it it helps someone who has the same issue but is too afraid to speak up.

This board offers such a variety of responses to every issue raised :)

HUGS back!
Jenna

For me, redistribution happened when I stopped losing weight. The scale was staying the same but my thighs and tummy were still getting smaller. At the same time, my torso was getting less scrawny. My ribs disappeared and so did my spine.

Redistribution is when the fat moves around without the total fat changing.
