Tail Bones

Oh Stacey, I hope it's a temporary thing!!!  If you've read my profile page you will see that a sore tailbone was one of my greatest fears.

When I lost 75 pounds in my 20's my tailbone was so tender that I had to stand up to do everything.  The cut out pillows and padded pillows didn't help at all.   It eventually quit hurting when I started gaining my weight back.

After WLS I started keeping track of my weight and if I had any tailbone pain because I was going to stop losing if it started.  Fortunately for me my tailbone is pain free.

I know of at least one of our LW's who had to have hers removed.

Baby it the best you can.  I'm not sure if exercises will hel*****t.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!

Yep they can remove the tailbone if badly broken . I don't guess I've lOoked hard enough to find that perfect orthopedic surgeon.,

From what I've been told it doesn't always alleviate all the pain either. And rough heeling process also.

I would rather deal with the butt issues than opt for removal....OOOUUCCCCCHHHHH!!!
I am working on standing more and instead of sitting in a chair for class work, I am going to sit on my balance ball.
I know I can get rid of this pain.

As long as it's not broken, it will stop hurting eventually. Mine doesn't hurt any more unless I sit really weirdly for long periods of time.

They can remove it, but often times that surgery makes the pain worse.  I've discussed having mine removed with the orthopedist several times.  When you are sitting and it starts hurting try to lean forward a bit.  It willl take some of the pressure off of it.  A ****yx pillow is another great option, but I hate lugging mine around everywhere.  So, when I'm in public or when I worked a desk job I would bring a sweatshirt or something and roll it up, sit on it with it towards the back of my butt (tailbone area) and it helped a lot.
