Awe, thanks!  I LOVE food...always will! :)  I try to eat the best choices I can at least 80% of the time, my NUT and surgeon were good with that.  There WILL be days like today that are higher carb days, but they aren't that often, so I feel like it all comes out in the wash!

I go through phases too, and I LOVE soy crisps esp bbq ones!

I've been getting a lot of recipes lately (in fact all for tomorrow nights too) from here... all healthy and very tasty!  http://www.kalynskitchen.com/

I am always intrigued by your menus. Look at your results. You are doing great. I couldn't exist on protein shakes, because I like to eat too much. In addition, all the research shows that dense protein keeps us full longer than just liquids and soft foods like yogurt. There is a place for protein shakes, especially for those with malabsorptive surgeries, but I found that they didn't stay with me as long as dense protein. You also work out a lot and need the added calories and protein. You are obviously burning it off. If what you're doing works for you, keep doing it.

Everyone's different and what you are doing seems to be working for you.

I choose to get my Protein in with drinks because I don't want to calculate everything I eat.  If I get all of my drinks in then I don't have to concentrate on Protein for every meal.  Plus when I was trying to get my Protein in with food I felt like I was thinking about food to much.

With RNY our bodies don't absorb all of the Protein in food during the honeymoon period, so that meant I had to eat even more Protein than I wanted.

Good Menu!

I didn't get to the store to get kabobs yet....maybe on the weekend.

white bread is not the best but since you already know that I'm sure you won't let it be a habit.  Look for all-grain or 100 wheat.  I don't eat much bread because it's on my no no list along with potatoes and rice.

I've decided to start posting on here again as I don't think I am getting enough protein in....yes, I have been failing to journal and I think it is slowing me down.  Only down 8 pounds in four weeks...considering I'm only 10 weeks out that is not good!

B: 1/2c cottage cheese w/ 4 slices of freeze dried strawberries (it's what I had!) 13
S: Protein Shake w/ unjury and peppermint paddy SF syrup  40g
L: Mashed cauliflower w/ cheese
S: SM protein shake 23g
D: ?????

I am getting all of my vits in, but I don't think I am anywhere near 64oz of water, even counting my two protein shakes. Need to up this too!!
