Surgery tomorrow, stomach flu in the house today!

My son has the stomach flu today! He had spent the weekend at his uncle's house and apparently my niece was down with the pukes. Now my son has it and I've been exposed. What kind of danger is this to me? Sure I have the anti-nausea stuff for tomorrow, but what if I get the flu?

I don't want to call the doc cuz I don't want the surgery put off. Any advice? Or just ride it out?

I'm thinking you will be fine.  Wash your hands and stay away from that kid.

Tomorrow is your day.  Hurray, hurray.  I'll be swinging for you.

Seems like a lot of us were exposed to something viral or bacterial as our surgery date was closing in. Most of us were able to undergo our scheduled surgery with no problems.

I know it must be scary with a sick and puking child in the house, and  Price is right, keep washing those hands! I have 4 young adult kids, and when they were younger it was a common occurrence for the stomach bug to make its rounds at my house. I seldom ended up with it though. Hopefully you have the same luck!

Keep us all posted 'kay?

Hiya Kelly!  Don't fret, it usually takes a couple days after exposure to the bug to start having symptoms (atleast that is what they taught us in school)  All the advice you have been given so far is right on!

I've been thinking about you alot today! 12 more hours and we'll be checking in for surgery, eek!!
