Will I ever fall asleep for my sleep study tonight?
I have been having trouble sleeping anyway so I got something to try the last two nights and it did not work. I took5mg of flexeril and 2mg lunesta (hours later when still awake).
I have to fall asleep all hooked up and the last time it took me hours. The stuff all over my body really bothers me and the knowing the tech (which is a man) is having to watch me on video all night bugs me too.
My sleep apnea is my comorbid so I need to fail the test too:)

That being said, it sucks. I got there about 9 pm, got everything attached to me by about 9:30 and then watched TV and such until trying to go to bed at 11. I barely slept and it was awkward seeing the camera, but trust me when I say that the techs have better things to do than try to see your special bits, haha. They are alerted if something goes wonky, but I'm sure they get bored looking at sleeping people all night.
You will do fine!!
Sleep apnea was my comorbidity too. I was so afraid that I wouldn't fall asleep, felt like I laid there for HOURS. When he gave me my report, said that I fell asleep in 12 minutes!! Sheesh...well, it felt like hours anyway.
I also fluffed up my pillows to make sure that I stayed on my back and I wore my mouth nightguard which really makes me sound like a piggy!! Results was positional apnea...which was enough to push me over the edge!
Try not to focus on it and I'm sure you will do well. Agree with Ava...eat a big big meal first.
I thought, there is no way I can sleep with all this stuff and I went right to sleep and slept straight through until they woke me up. Except for all the times I stopped breathing of course. But I never knew it.
