OMG !! Ive noticed ive been fitting into smaller and smaller runway clothes that I couldnt fit into earlier in my recovery ... but for some reason i didnt get around to wearing my size zero Ann Taylor jeans . I found them in the closet searching for extra long ones to wear today ..

Theyre way too big !!!

YAY !! mind U these are MISSY MALL sizes lol ...

a REAL runway zero is NOT THIS !!! but still .. it makes me feel good ;) it made me feel good to get INTO them ... and makes me feel GREAT to get OUT of them too lol

especially after I ate salt

I actually remember when i first SAW a zero ( and a double zero ) on clothing a few years ago .... U know im kind of like a vampire in that I transcend all these generations I'm not officially supposed to .. But do U guys remember the fifties at all? ( or vintage thrift shops )

Whats a zero now was size eight to twelve in the fifties sixties and seventies ..seriously . And just to put a flea in Ur collective ear ... I'M NOT THIN !! Im just NORMAL ....and a perfectly healthy weight ...

This vanity sizing thing is so out of hand ..what it REALLY tells me is that AMERICA is amazingly fat and unhealthy . The AVERAGE American woman is a size 12-14 on THIS scale !!!!

Mind U the SECOND i travel to Croatia or Hungary even though I speak the languages FLUENTLY 100% they immediately make me for an American on the subway and bus simply because of my SIZE .

That is SCARY . So is the fact that the Average American woman buys a size fourteen Missy - on the same scale as my size zero ( not ) jeans . In other words a few years ago she would have been a 22 or at least an 18.

This has GOT to be unhealthy .

Now Im totally against discrimination based on weight and absolutely see Rubenesque people's bodies as beautiful ... but the health price is unarguably there.

Ty so much fo r the compliments ! its so funny ..now that I've had my surgery Im able to go to the high end stores with the REALLY SMALL sizes ..... and the malls with the vanity sizing ... and really SEE the tremendous size gap between the haves and the have nots in America. Here the have NOTS HAVE EATEN a whole lot of fatty CARBS lol !! ( and cheap fastf ood )

Sometimes I just wish I could give everyone this marvelous gift Ive been extended .... and know its not possible . Still - I KNOW theres an entire CONTINENT of women ( and men and children) who are WAY WAY smaller because they dont eat much hidden fat in food and as much processed food .

They don't have any more money to spend on food than we do .. as a matter of fact they probably have a lot less - but their choices ( both what is offered and what is chosen ) are very different .

For instance , most peoples daily shopping expedition begins in the early morning open- air fresh produce market NOT a big box store lol ..... bread is soft because it was baked that morning not because it contains oil ...corn syrup is NOT among the first five ingredients of ANYTHING much less MOST things on the supermarket shelf ... people drink soda juice and milk very very rarely and rarely give them to their children either .

Is it a hopeless dream to think its possible to influence how America eats ? particularly AFTER GB ?

( I hope noone misunderstands this as anti- American - I've lived in the US since I was 2 years old ! But I DO think we have a lot to learn from other cultures ... particularly ancient agrarian ones about how best to sustainably manage the land , raise healthy animals and crops and keep ourselves healthy without constantly having to resort to extreme ( and prohibitively expensive ) high tech medical care .... )
