what a pain

I was feeling fine yesterday evening when I went to bed.  Had my usual protein hot chocolate before bed, nothing different.  I woke around 1:30 with a horrible burning right under my breastbone.  I haven't had any heartburn since surgery and am on prilosec but got up and took some tums.  Went back to bed.  I guess I went back to sleep but woke up shortly after with no more burning but lots of pain.  So I figured maybe it was gas??  Got up and took some gas-x and went back to bed.  Again, after a while went back to sleep.  Felt fine this morning but wonder if I need to take something before bed.  Actually, I do take my prolosec before bed.  Any one else have a similar experience?

That definitely sounds like a gall bladder attack. Do you still have your gall bladder? That can be some seriously miserable pain.

Call your doc! I hope you feel better soon.  ((hugsforyou))

Peaceful night last night, so who knows.  Nope, can't be the gall bladder.  Had that out back in the 80s after losing 60 # with WW and got the scar to prove it.  Back in the days of open gall bladder surgery.

Apparently you can have Bile Sludge years after gallbladder removal: postcholecystectomy syndrome (PCS)

Price have you eaten a lot of acid foods like tomatoes?  Maybe you irritated your pouch.

Hope you feel better.

I've been eating tomaotes with my egg in the morning but you would think that wouldn't do it 19 hours later.  I did put some jarred Alfrado sauce with the shimp that night and DH had his over WW pasta.  Maybe it was that.  I have been fine all day today and was last night.

I'm with Linda. It could be something you are eating. I have been having serious gas attacks and just made the connection to my greek yogurt so I am going to lay off it a couple of days. Is there anything that you ate that was unusual for you? I am glad to hear that you are feeling better.

I guess it could have been the alfredo sauce.  I don't remember having that since surgery.  I have had such a cast iron pouch, it was weird.  But I have been fine since then.  Maybe it was just a big gas bubble???
