My turn to rant.

Before the surgery I was hot all the time.  I think it had to do with menopause although I don't know for sure since I had a hysterectomy years ago but the age is right.  I hated the summer and longed for winter.
I was even nervous about going to the hospital because I was afraid it would be too hot there.
After surgery I noticed that I was feeling cold.  I was even using blankets for a change.  I just figured the air conditioning was working good but when I got home I noticed I wasn't as hot as before.  I was a lot more comfortable even though it was July.
This winter I have been wearing my fuzzy robe a lot, which I hadn't done for a while, and using the heater.  I actually prefer to be cold instead of hot because it is easier to warm up then it is to cool down.
Now in Portland we have been having a cooler Spring which is fine for me but I have been noticing it getting warmer.  I have used the a/c in the car several times and I have felt too hot.  I am hoping that the hot flashes aren't coming back.  I would love a pleasant Summer.  It's funny because Summer used to be my favorite season.  Now I dread it.

AMEN to that, it is easier to warm up than to cool off...I simply can't take enough off unless I get in the shower.

I dread summer for that reason.

Oh hurray.  I was beginning to think you were one of those perpetually positive folks.  Now I know you are human and get frustrated like the rest of us.

1.  I do get on the scales every morning but have given up on being upset at what they day.  One thing about daily weighing is that it seriously lets you know that no matter what you do, you are going to bounce around some.  I imagine it was fluid you muscles were holding on to after the exercise but no matter what, it won't be the last time it happens for SOME reason.

2.  I do have to be much more careful how I sit since I have very little padding left on my butt.

3.  Yeah for me, I guess.  Now I am cold, not hot.  At 62, the hot flashes are over but I  have to remember to take a sweater with me everywhere.

Price, thanks for responding...I only try to be positive simply because it takes too much energy to be negative and I've discovered people don't like negative people. Ranting is one thing I am willing to do if it is called for, LOL.

Okay, my day to rant….

I’m frustrated…for several reasons.

1) My weight has stalled AGAIN and I actually gained 1.5 lbs overnight. Yes, I know it can happen and it’s better if I stay off the scale but it’s still frustrating. What makes it worse is dh and I did a spinning class yesterday morning, burned close to 1000 calories during that ride and I didn’t even consume that much during the day. So my net calories for the day was below zero.

2) MY BUTT HURTS and not from the spinning class. It’s hurt for the last month or so. I never had a big one, majority of my weight is up front in my stomach but now it flat out is gone and bony and it hurts.

3) WHEN do I start feeling cold instead of hot all the time? I’ve lost 50ish lbs and yet I still sit here in the house WITH the A/C running and sweat pouring off me. I went thru menopause already, back about 2 years ago.

No one has to give me any solutions,  just let me rant. It will make me feel better.

I have a solution for #2. I was an avid spinner for 2 years, they sell padded gel bicycle seat covers (removable). My coochie thanked me for it, never went to a spinning class without it after that.

We got those....used them this last class and it did make a difference.

But it doesn't help my rear at home, I sit in a recliner WITH a pillow under me and it STILL hurts. LOL

Oh it did for the spinning. :) And since we plan on getting bikes to ride instead of in a car for some things, it will help there too.

Especially if you're biking down a bumpy road. After my first spinning class I couldn't sit down, the pain was so bad around the unmentionables. Thank goodness for the gel seat covers!

so you're having power surges, are you?

You know what they say about getting what you wish for?  Well, did you ever wish to be one hot mama?

Ok, I'm kidding with you..... you can fling sweat at me if you want.

I have pudendal nerve damage, so I know the pain of a sore tail bone: feels like someone inserted a pebble under your skin at the top of your butt and then began a constant pressure of pebble against spine. Ouch!
