We have one cat.  She's kinda mean and not good with strangers or kids.  She LOVES me and DH.  We are the people she owns.  She is 12 years old.  She is used to having us to herself and doesn't like to share.  She runs from all the Grandkids and hisses at our grown children.  It is kinda crazy since she was raised with them.  We love her with all her quirks.

We have an 11 yr old bichon frise named Tiny E. Got him at the shelter 10 yrs ago. He was on the bottom shelf in the back corner of the kitten room. Got him in the car and tbought WHAT have I done --- stink like you cannot believe!!! Love him to death!!! Smells a bit nicer now. He is afraid of storms and has ruined my carpet throughout the house!!!! Ugh. Still love him!

I have always had a life rich and over-flowing with animals!! I worked at a vet since I was 15 and then became a prefessional pet groomer, I quit doing cats though! Can you imagine trying to give a cat a shave down? Not pretty!!

I now am "retired" at 32 because of crippling spinal osteoarthritis and fibrmyalgia. So I live with Earl the boxer in the avi. He is 3 1/2 yrs old. I think he is genetically mutated because he's 116 lbs and not fat. He's the biggest and tallest boxer I ever seen. He is my baby and he knows it. He has to have a pudding cup every morning for breakfast while I eat my greek yogurt!

Then there is Dave, the annoying one. The man I got him from also bred jack russel's, so sometimes I wonder if there might be "a jack in the woodpile!" That would explain all his "issues." He is just as sweet as they come though. Just neurotic

I also have 3 cats, 2 of which, stay outside. A huge orange tabby named B.A.D. It stands for Brianna, Ashley, and Danielle, the little girls that lived behind my parents gave it to my dad, when he was really sick, with heart issues. What a great present, huh?

I also have a 17 yr old cat named Azriel. I got her when I was 16, while I was working at my neiborhood vet office. The car shop across the street found some kittens in the insulation of their walls. The owners looked for the mother, and they found her, squished in the road in between the the vet and the shop. So, of course, I took one. I never had a calico, but everyone said they were the sweetest cats. Azriel turned out to be the ***** from hell. My BFF was scared to walk upstairs when she was sitting on a step! I bottle fed her and the private school I went to in high school let my go home during homeroom to feed her! She's mellowed out in her old age and she looks nothing of her age!

Sorry this is soooo long and big!! I don't know how to make the pics smaller when posting them!! I just love when someone asks about my pets too!! I just love 'em to death!

I only strive to be, the kind of person my dogs think I am!

YAY a pet post! i ADORE all my pets but would love some day for them to disappear....Where do I start.
I have a ****ateil named Joey, bought him from a pet store, he is the most mean, nasty ****ateil that you will ever find, will only sit on my hand or shoulder if I let him fly somewhere ( I do not clip him, I want him to be able to get away if needed)
Cats, I have 3....
Coka, Cola and Noble (yes he has our last name but we rescued him with that name)
Cola, I rescued her from this nasty dump hell hole shell of a place, The people had about 16 ferretts and 8 german shepards, she was cowering under the bed, heck I would too. She is black as night, no white patches anywhere on her body. She is my life!
She is not the brightest kitty in the bunch but at night when she snuggles on her pillow next to my head and loves on me, I melt. She is about 7

Coka, Cola's offspring, true ***** in every sense of the word. Runs the whole house and if she is not happy, no one is happy. She ADORES DH and he does her also, but start bringing in duffel bags and what not for deployment and she goes ballistic! Wont talk to anyone and will avoid the whole family for days! She is 4

Noble, another sweety, will sit in your lap for hours and hours.Doesnt talk to anyone, does his own thing. Adopted him from the SPCA. He is about 15..

My doggies,
I rescued a long legged pomeranian several years ago, the girl I got him from just wanted him gone. He has had 7 surgeries and has severe allergies, so he is bald in his back areas. (trying new therapies with him) Not sure his age maybe around 7 also. He was a toy to a bunch of rotties and has had his hip replaced and his legs bow in terribly. Best dog ever, he is so sweet, well mannered, loves to walk on a chain and is houdini.

Then there is Pansy, the pest!!!
She is around 15 and was my mothers dog before she passed away, hsa always been spoiled and the princ
ess. She whines, cries, barks and does anything to irritate you, at least until I got ahold of her LOL... I believe in training animals and strict discipline, the Dog whisperer would be proud LOL. She was left with my sister when my Mom died and she neglected her badly, when I found out that my sister was taking her to the pound because hse "couldnt afford" to feed her, I picked her up....Needless to say I have laid my sister a new one for that lie, if you can afford cigarettes you can afford to go to Dollar general and get a 3 pound bag of dog food for 3 bucks, I mean damn she is only 5 flippin pounds! Sorry ranting there, Pansy is a Chihuhua/ jack russel mix and still acts like a puppy...

Yes I love my animals and I miss every one that has passed away, if a chance comes to get more, I wont until ones goes to heaven, but I definately will again..

We have a mini daschund named Little Willie who is 4 years old.  He is so sweet and gentle.  He is also the ultimate lap dog.  He sits in DH's lap all day long if he would let him and follows him around like a shadow.  He sleeps with us and is our baby now.  Here is his picture.

We have three girls. Our cats are so very loved and unique.

Mama Kitty - (the tortoiseshell kitty)we got her at the pound about 9 years ago. She's 11 now. She is beautiful. She loves to dig in the laundry and pull out socks. Then she'll drag them around the house, yowling the whole way and deposit them by someones bedroom door. I helped deliver her first baby because she was breech. It was very emotional and Mama and I seemed to be closer after that.

Sparky Ann - (the dark gray kitty on the end)This is Mama's youngest baby, the runt. She's also the fattest and biggest of all the cats. Sparky prefers red items and stuffed animals to drag around the house. And when you pet her or scratch her ears, she rolls and thrashes around and just lays there in ecstasy, usually getting to the point of almost falling off the couch cuz she's so happy. She also has the softest fur I've ever felt.

Abigail Warren (Abby) - (the light gray kitty in the middle)Abby is the dog of the family, though she's a cat. She sits in the window and if people walk by the window, she growls. She also will stand on her hind legs and wag her tail in the window. Seriously. She is the kitty I delivered. She was breech and I pulled her out by her tail, gently of course. She is almost 9 and her tail still feels funny at the end. I think I broke it. Anyway, she loves me and my hubby. She sleeps on my hip. Abby will lead the way to the bedroom at night and as soon as I'm settled on my hip, she jumps up. As for what she likes to drag around... the creepy sock monkey. And clothes. She drug my 6ft long scarf to my side of the bed. Abby rubs her head on my hubby's beard, it seems to comfort her. She's also the only one who will 'wrestle' with us. When they were out door cats, long ago, she drug a dead rat in once and left it next to my hubby's side of the bed. He screamed like a girl.

Obviously I love my girls. They are the only females in the house beside me.

Great thread, thanks Cindy!!

Okay, here goes, we have 5 cats that rule the roost. We even had to get a king size bed to accommodate their sleeping with us.

There is Miss Izzy, she's elder kitty at 12+ years old. She was actually my daughter's early on but when the DD moved out, she stayed and became our kitty. We got her at the animal shelter. This is my favorite photo of her altho she can no longer sit that way due to arthris.

Maggie is next in line and is the mama to the triplets. She adopted us one day and we discovered after taking her to the vet, that she not only adopted us, she was going to bless us with her family. Maggie is going on 11 years old.

And then there are Maggie's babies...the triplets. We didn't intend on keeping all three, fully expected to find homes for them...and almsot 9 years later, they are still a part of the family. We really have no clue who is older, Scamp or Mischief. We consider Scamp the oldest of the three. We KNOW Charley is the baby.

Scamp

Mischief

And Charley: Charley is a polydactyl. (he has extra toes on the front feet. Makes life interesting to say the least. After he was born we had to change the door latch on my daughter's door as he was perfectly capable of opening it.

And yes, they own us, not the other way around.

Oh Goodie, a post about pets...we're over run with them.  We have always had dogs, and I still miss them very much.  We have 4 dogs right now, three of them pugs; Carmine, the dad, and his two sons Frankie and Bo; a rescued bull dog we named Molly B; and two rescue kitties - a scottish fold named Lucy, and a pretty gray kitty named Parker (who we thought was a boy when we adopted him, and found out he was a she when we took "him" in to be neutered)  Here's is out sweet kitty Parker:
