Long time since I posted
It has been so long since I posted, I am coming up on 2 years since my surgery and was so busy with a new job and family issues and all.
I hate to just come on the board when I need something but I really trust all the advise I have received in the past so hear is my issues I am dealing with, let me know if you think they could be vitamin related.
Dizzyness, when I go from sitting to standing or standing to sitting, it is not all the time it is intermitent I have been to the Dr and I don't have any ear issues although on the 25th I am going in for an ENG (some kind of test to see if they can make me dizzy it sounds like lots of fun)
I have also had 2 really bad falls lately I think it is more clumpsy than because of the dizzyness but also a concern.
Just had blood tests and now have a high liver function test ALT 80 AST 68, Dr called and will be having somekind of Ultra sound to check liver out.
I take vitamins, 2 adult chewable daily, B12, B1, Iron, Calcium vitamin D, also have A25 I take and K but not real regular on those
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated
Thanks
Sandy
Sounds like you're supplementing what you should. They ruled out high blood pressure and low blood sugar? Now is about the time some folks start getting spells of hypoglycemia. Please hang in here with us and keep us posted. I'll even swing some lizards for you.

A condition called "transient orthostatic hypotension" can cause dizziness when you stand up or move suddenly. Many people faint fromt it. The causes for the condition can vary. You could Google it. Here's a link from wikipedia, which is not the BEST source for medical info, but it's good for a basic understanding. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthostatic_hypotension
Good luck. Swingin critters for you.

We have missed you!!!
Have they checked you for low blood pressure?? That is the only thing I can think of.
Do you take cholesterol medicine? That can run your liver enzymes up. I started taking the Milk Thistle and it has helped mine. My PCP also lowered my Fish Egg Oil to every other day instead of everyday to help with this.
Good luck and keep us posted on what you find out.

Like the others said, check your BP and sugar. BUT - I know that when I get dizzy, even 2 1/1 years out, I check my hydration. I know when I'm low on fluids and sit or stand up suddenly and get dizzy, that's the culprit the majority of the time, even tho I DO have sugar issues...
I also had a bad fall with the Reactive Hypoglycemia but could kinda tell it was coming - as I felt kinda like a real bad dumping experience. Have you had that?

Hi Sandy,
I too have lots of dizziness and then to the extreme where I faint. It happens quite a lot to me and is mainly to do with diet for me. The doctor urged me to get a glucometer and check my blood sugars which on a whole were normal, but when I felt the dizziness and checked blood sugar it would be sky high and then when I fainted (hubby checked my blood sugar) it would be bottomed out so low. My dizziness and fainting is caused by blood sugar spikes then rapid drops (hypoglycemia was diagnosed). I don't have diabetes and generally my blood pressure is quite low but not low enough to cause me problems.
I hope they can find out the answer for your issues.
Cheers
Karin

Thanks I will check with the Dr after my appt on the 25th if they can not find anything and ask them about maybe checking my blood sugar when I get dizzy (at home) I am lucky I have not fainted but I have fallen twice this year so far not sure it had anything to do with the dizzyness or just being clutcy. But with weather getting better the bad bruises on my legs look like I am getting beat up (which is not happening) Just to make it clear :)
