What's wrong with your Mom? My Mom fell while I was away and her face is black front above her eye to her mouth. I was sick when my DD sent me a picture.

OMG Roz, I hope your mom is didn't do any serious damage.
Doesn't it stink when our parents get hurt!
My mom broke her elbow in three different places on Palm Sunday and she needed surgery. Three weeks later, a plate and 9 pins later, she is rehab but not doing well. She wants her own home, her Arabic tv, her cousins, sisters and normal guests, her own food ..you get the drift.
I am with her every day and this combined with the Lenten Fast I think is what contributed to my low weight loss.
I did lose 5 pounds total last month...so I don't think I am in a stall..it's just that I have been losing so slowly from day one.
I also dug up the post where someone posted this:
Average weight loss after RNY is 100 pounds in one year
Month 1 - 20 pounds
Months 2-6 10 pounds per month
Months 6-2 5 pounds per month
I am not even close.
By the above guildlines I should have lost 70 pounds by now. I am down 54.
I did go through a stall earlier ..probably when I should have been losing 10 pounds a month but even this month I should be losing 10 pounds I only have lost 5.
Here is my dilema.. I am happy with my weight right now...I know it's not where I'm supposed to be having had the surgery, but I am 47 years old and I am wearing clothing that I haven't in years.. I get the compliments mostly without the "don't lose any more"..I really only got that kind of comment once. I'm still heavy but I don't look like I'm that heavy..I never did.. Even at 214, people would say I was wearing a size 14P..which is what I'm in right now. Go figure.
My niece was telling me that the honeymoon period ends in 6 months and that when she had the surgery three years ago, she was down 100 pounds by now. btw she was considered a lightweight also. She has maintained and is a size 4-6 now.
I would like to get to my surgeons goal of 140 at least although my goal on the weight tracker is 123 which would put my BMI at normal.
In my mind, if I get down to 140 and then have the "gain back" that some people get and I get to where I am now, well, Thank GOD! I'm happy..
Am I settling??
We all lose at our own rate. I do wish you would drink more Protein because I think it would help you keep it off long term. My honeymoon period lasted close to 2 years out and I think that's possible for everyone if you stay on program and don't start bringing "bad" carbs back into your menus.

I've never had fried snickers. Not sure about what that would taste like.
