How many calories should we eat a day?
40-60 g of protein? That's lower than what is recommended for normal women! Everything I've read leads me to believe that everyone should get at least 70g and people with malabsorption should get more. I believe the ASMBS recommends 100 g a day for RnY, but I don't have a reference for that number. (I read it from Andrea U.)
My program called for:
< 800 calories
70-90 g protein
< 40 g carbs
< 30 g fat
during the losing phase. But everyone gets adjusted based on their cir****tances. I was adjusted up because I was working out 6 hours a week doing intense stuff, for example, so I needed more protein which led to more calories.
