Surgery date forums, did you know??
Yes, I frequented mine in the beginning, but it fizzled out within 8 months or so.
You'll find a lot of people come onto OH to get support and when they lose their weight, they tend to fade away. Mainly because they don't feel they need support anymore and/or they get a life! LOL...
Some of us just love this sight, the people and the support it gives. You'll find as you go through your journey that there are different types of support. Initially there will be the newbie losing weight, then the 6 months out when you go 'OMG - this is great' support then when you get to maintenance.
As far as I'm concerned you'll need support (or rather I do) forever. Also - this is one of the best bunch of people I've come to know. I've been fortunate to have met many of them in person, and that makes this forum to me, even more personal!
Oh - sorry - kinda got off topic - but as you can see - I LOVE OUR LW'S!!!

I found mine way late but had been coming here since way before approval. By the time I found mine, this was already home.
Maybe they will have some good infor for you. I still check here and RNY pretty frequently, but this is really home for me.

My surgery date forum fizzled within 6 months. Luckily I found this one. I habe been going it alone for a while and now think I need to come back. Everyone here is supportive and accepting. I think I quit coming around so much because I felt like a failure. All me.Stinking thinking. I have a few different ideas and know I will never be able to be as strict and regimented with my food. I am not even sure I want to be or need to be. I have come to realize I do need th the support of kind people who have walked in my shoes. This ids the best support group ever.
