 Hi Lightweighters,

My pre surgery weight was 185 lbs and i'm 5' tall. I'm 21 days out and have not managed to loose over 10 lbs. I'm careful with my intake of both water and protein but nothing is happening.

Help?!! Thanks! Monique

10 pounds in 21 days is 3 pounds a week, which is pretty typical for lightweights. Are you getting 64+oz of liquid and eating protein first?

Just follow your plan and the weight will come off.
Good luck,
holly

Hi Holly,

Thank you for your response! You have eased my concern. Yep, getting in the water but finding the protein at this early stage a bit of a challenge. Getting a bit blah about protein shakes but they are important.

Have a wonderful evening! Monique

If you started out at 185lb and want to get to a normal BMI you need to lose about 60 lbs.  Ten pounds is about 18% of that (I think, my math is terrible).  So, if I am correct you have lost about 18% of your excess weight in about 3 weeks.  It doesn't look so bad now, does it?

Your doing great.  Just keep with your plan and you will lose.  LWs sometimes don't have the dramtic loss of those friends with a lot more to lose but it will happen and you will probably reach goal before they do.  Stick to that plan and you will be fine.  3 lbs a week is great.

Yeah, my surgery was the 18th, and while I lost a good amount the first week out, I've been stalled for the last week and a half. I know the 3 week stall is legendary, so I'm thinking mine just came a bit early, or I had some fluid retention.

Things are gonna go a bit slower for us than for others, but that's okay. I didn't gain it all at once, I won't lose it that way either.

Hang in there!! You are doing great... I went to Vitamin Shoppe to buy a bunch of single packets and so far Jay Robb seems to be the easiest to get down... I had a tropical dreamsicle this morning (25g) and it was awesome!!!

Good luck!

sounds good to me..I think that is about the rate I lost at first..I didn't weigh myself for the first couple of months though so I can't say for sure..just follow the plan if you do that I don't believe there is any way you could not loose the weight..
