This is GREAT! I love this Forum

Something told me that there had to be a forum for me out here! Hi everyone, I usually post on the RNY Forum but I am considered a light weight. I have been hard on myself because I thought I was loosing slowly because all I saw was people who had lost way more than me during the same time period. When I posted about it, someone called me a light weight. Then I put a post for people who started 250 or less because I wanted to hear from others who saw their scale move like mine. Guess what, it made me feel so good! I will definitely be a regular here.

Welcome, Koko! We are a supportive and friendly group, and we understand the LW journey. The LW has enhanced my life, and I hope it does the same for you.

Hey Koko,

Welcome onboard! I posted something similar back as a pre-op, and someone so kindly directed me to this site (thank God)!!!

You'll be right at home here, and so many of us on this site will have a similar timeline as you. It helps along your journey to have some things in common with others. Be sure to check in often!

Thank you both, I will. I am dealing with stress related problems dealing with this surgery and not loosing weight as I thought I would. I have a ulcer and a stress induced flair up of my eye condition called iritis. I had a goal of 190 lbs by May 20th so I can get life insurance before I have a hysterectomy on May 26th. I have been trying everything I could think to get this weight off and I'm loosing 1-3 lbs a week. Normally this is great, but not when I need to loose it FAST. So as I'm posting and watching others ticklers, I have to admit that I was getting jealous!

Welcome aboard.  Remember that even the lightweights lose at different speeds so try not to compare yourself to anyone else.  Just be proud of all of your successes--on the scale and off.

Welcome Koko and congrat on your success so far.  We all slow down from time to time but you will get there as long as you follow the basics.  And we are here to help.
Hopefully you will make your goal, and you will, just maybe not by the date you want.  We all lose at our own rate.
