125 pounds at 6 months out and still losing, is that ok?
I weight about 125 pounds, just over 6 months out of surgery, and even my husband is telling me I am getting too thin. My six 6s are too big, and even the 4s are getting big. My goal was 120, maybe 110, but is that too low? My surgeon doesn't set a goal, and when I originally told him 120 he didn't think I would get there, he said I might get to 130. I know lightweights are different, so I am reaching out to see what your opinions are.. thank you for any help or comments!
Edited to add a picture from almost two weeks ago, and I have lost weight since then, probably a few pounds less now.
Edited to say that I am 50 years old and 5'2" tall.

How tall are you? I'm 5'1" and got to 115 and others my height got a little lower but still within the range of a normal BMI. I think if you keep an eye on your BMI it might help to see that your still in a healthy place. Others will tell you you're getting too thin but don't listen to them unless you get close to under weight BMI. You'll get to a point that you'll stop losing and have little bit of bounce back. Hang tough, you've done a great job so far.

i 'm not there yet but I think you look great. Give yourself some bounce back room, then make your decision.

Funny, I sometimes have a question to ask, and someone asks it for me! I think you look great, and don't appear underweight at all. Not sure how tall you are though...
I went for my 6 month post op last Wednesday, and they told me my ideal target weight at 5' 4" is 129 pounds. Well this morning I was at 132, and have to admit I feel really good! I will hit for that 129, I mean why not, right? Well, I cannot go anywhere lately that people seem to think it's acceptable to tell me I am looking annorexic!
Not sure about you, but i am a little offended by such "free" advice! I mean, I would never tell someone she should LOSE 10 pounds, it equally as RUDE to tell me to GAIN back a little!
I understand your husband's comment though. He loves you and is maybe voicing concern. So has mine. What I am now telling the people in my life (I own a salon), is "if I lose weight now it is against my permission, and I have a handle on it" (I will NOT admit if I lose a little more- nobody's biz...).
Hang in there! I "get you" on this particular question! Would you have ever guessed 6 or 7 months ago we would be asking this!?!?!?!?

Oh that is so mean. I understand what you mean. I know that at almost 5'8" and 166 I am far from anorexic but I get comments from friends and family all the time about me not loosing anymore and telling me how weird I look. I think it's weird to them to see me this way is all. I focus on the BMI and my goal is really 150 and will accept gaining more weight of muscle weight as time goes on. I love working out and really want to tone up.
I can't figure what gives ppl the nerve to comment so freely about anyone else's looks. One things for sure is that no matter what someone will always have a comment.

Thank you all! I am 5'2" and I have considered myself a slow loser, but I really thought it would take more than 6 or 7 months to get to this point! Dropping the pounds between 144 and 125 really made a difference in my appearance, and I can't help but wonder what losing a few more will do. I have heard about the bounce back weight also, and I want to make sure that I don't gain too much.

You look great. I weigh 125, too, and I am going for 120. I am perfectly happy at 135 or even 140 so now it is just for bounce back room. Only one person has said that I am getting too thin. My boyfriend has commented on it but he likes woman with a little meat. He doesn't complain, though, since he has been through this before with my first WLS and knows that regain can happen.
The only thing that bothers me is that for some reason in the last 8 years it seems my skin has gotten even more saggy and looks worse then it did. Oh well, it is still better then it was and hopefully things will redistribute and fill in.
