Good Morning. It is a good morning, isn't it?

So the news says special troops killed Bin Laden. Check the news.

Why don't I feel a sense of joy and closure over the friends I lost 9/11? Not sure. I guess because killing one man isn't really going to end the conflict.

Anyway, it will interesting to watch and hear the reactions today. Be careful out there, keep your eyes and ears open.

...waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Good Morning, Gina!

I have had goosebumps since I woke up and herd the news. I feel a sense if relief but fear the retaliation will come too.  I guess a mixed bag.  9/11 had such a profound effect on me it is difficult to fathom anything worse.

Been singing "its a beautiful day in the neighborhood".

I am working form home today, instead of dead silence I will be glued to the TV as I work.

Have a nice day!

Hadn't turned on the TV yet since DH sleeps until 8:30, 9am.  We have always been on different sleep schedules.

Unfortunately, there will probably just be another crazy person to take his place.  Capturing Sadam didn't cure that country.  The unrest is pretty scarey and it continues at a great pace.

But here, today, is a beautiful day.  Lots of meetings and doing home inspections with my staff.  Since they take clients to their homes, I have to be sure they are all clean, safe.  No playing today and rain tomorrow but that's ok because the garden needs it.

There is a sense of relief that we finally got him but also a sense of trepidation that retaliation attacks aren't far behind. And this is bringing the US together in the same way that the days after 9/11 did but with a sense of joy rather than overwhelming sadness.

God bless our military and all others who have helped in this endeavor.

To be honest (and anyone can disagree with me) I am not sure if I believe it, where are the pictures? There are ALWAYS pictures and why bury him at sea? No offense but it sounds kinda fishy, I will do more research and try to believe it later.

I have mixed feelings also.  I hope that the families who lost loved ones on 9-11 find closure with this news.  Yet, Im also fearing retaliation.  A HUGE Thank you to all our military people out there who are putting their lives on the line to keep us safe.  Cindy

I was watching Brothers & Sisters last night when they interupted the program for the News update.

I also am waiting for the retaliation.  They said the military bases are put on "high alert".  But who said it would be overseas?

I think its time we got some closure with the 9/11 bombing - but, Bin Laden wasn't really running the show anymore and we all know he has very capable people to continue the mission.

Now they're questioning whether Pakistan government really didn't know he was there - but heck, his compound was in the middle of a city where there was a huge military presence. US Gov't isn't buying it.  So now what - we storm in there and try to capture them too?

As far as burying him at sea, Muslim law says the body must be buried within 24 hours of death, and his family is in Saudi Arabia and they didn't want anything to do with him.  Now - I'm sure they have some "critical" body parts for DNA proof (said that on the news last night too).  They said last night that Bin Laden's sister died in a Boston hospital and they took her brain for DNA proof.  They'll be doing some DNA matching.

More info will come out as they can release it.
