Good Morning. Happy May Day and other stuff
Anybody remember doing the Maypole thing in school? I know it's associated with pagan ritual now but I remember dancing around the May pole in kindergarten and elementary school before it became politically incorrect or something. lol Just wanted to wish folks a happy May Day if you like to celebrate things like springtime and such. I see nothing wrong with it and celebrate with you.
So, DH is celebrating May Day by, you guessed it, playing golf all morning. I think I'll go tanning and then pick up Windows 7 and maybe Office 2010. If you don't see me online today, you'll know I'm pulling my hair out trying to install these things. I guess I better keep my Windows XP lap top operational so I can call for help if I need it.
What's your plan for today?

The guys are golfing here too but that is what they do every day possible during the summer. I want to get my heirloom tomatotes in the ground and hopefully, my knee will let me drive ponies today. I've come a long way towards getting caught up with my work stuff since I haven't been able to play but it's driving me crazy.
Do you know about open office? It is the same programs as office but free. We use an excell type spreadsheet for contractors to send me their time and they all use open office since it was free. Works great. Why spend $$$ if you don't have to.

Hi Gina!
Not sure at all what I'm doing today - a lazy day. Tom is out working his dog today at a bird competition. I would have liked to have gone, but wasn't invited. I think it would have been very interesting to see it. I've got the 16 yo with me today, she tires me out...
I bought and installed Office 2010 last week. Was probably the easiest installation (effort and time wise) I've ever done...
I upgraded to IE9 this week and am still trying to find the pull down arrow to go back to previous pages. They took it out... BUT - there are some pretty neat features I'm not sure was available with IE8 I'm pretty happy with.

Sorry the only free Parking day in NYC . Sundays are when all the design work gets done . Though I have a driver ... they literally chase him with the BOOT ( and will boot him despite his being IN the car ) around the blocks on the weekdays .. especially around midtown ( the fashion district ) and the diamond district ....
Sunday is like a free day because U don;t have to feed the exorbitant meters .. or at least U dont have to dodge the tow trucks lol !!

Today is DH's birthday. He biked at the gym at 5:30, then came back got me, and we ran intervals along the greenway for an hour, came home showered, went grocery shopping, then we're off to a British restaurant for a "full English" breakfast/brunch with our son and daughter in law (I'll probably just have an egg white omelet) There might be Guinness for him.
If it warms up decently, we'll go to the pool and attempt a few laps of swimming (DH is training for a triathalon for May 21st). Some laundry for me, then packing for my big drive to DC tomorrow. While at the pool, I'll probably read some more of "Bossypants" by Tina Fey. Honest to God, laugh out loud memoir. That woman is FUNNY.
