It's been a whirlwind of people in and ouf since surgery. I'll post more details later just wanted to ck in and tell you about the size of my stomach. The surgeon said it was the size of a person who weighed 3x what I do. He said he has not seen anything like it --- most likely hereditary. My dad and sister about fainted. Lol. So he took 80% and I'm hopeful it is enough.

The gas got to me all last night so i am a walking fool

More later. Thx for all your well wishes

Meg

Wow - never heard of such a thing... I hope its enough too.  20% still seems big, but then I don't know what a "normal" size stomach is.

glad you're doing well.  The gas will continue to get you, but keep walking and have some gas-x strips on hand.  Mine settled in my shoulder... I thought I got a crick from sitting funny in the chair and went to the chiropractor a couple of times.  It seemed to help, but not sure if it would have gone away on its own...

I had some in my shoulder yesterday morning and it dissipated... now it is back today so I'm walking and moving a round a bit each hour.  The GasX strips do work!  I had one yesterday and that's what got it all rolling.... I am amazed at the sounds my body is making!

Congratulations Meg!  Of course it will be enough.  Now you have a fighting chance of getting your weight down and keeping it down.  You were fighting a losing battle before.

I hope you have a swift, uneventful recovery!

Walk, rest, sip, repeat.  You will be over that gas in no time.

I'm sure you will do fine with your new tummy.
