Good Morning. Those who had the bad storms, please check-in

I was just reading the news to see that many areas are devastated from the storms and tornadoes. Lots of casualties too. Would y'all that still have power and Internet please check-in please? If you know someone in the area**** please call or text them to make sure they're ok. Storms are supposed to come through here around 6AM and then around 11AM or so. We just had some thunder, a little rain and wind last night. Must have broken up and gone around us.

Atlanta area--okay here.  Have not checked on all family yet.  Have family in Birmingham--not sure about all of them--have heard from some of them that are okay.

No storms in South Texas.  We are in a drought and praying for rain here.

We were on the edge again.  We are very lucky that the mountains sheild us from a lot of bad weather.  Even so, we had lots of rain, wind and power binks.  But all the trees, fence lines and creatures seem to be ok.
Swinging for those who were in a direct line of the storms.

Checking in...wild night.

Have family in Pell City, AL where a twister sat down on them yesterday morning. All are okay even tho the town is a mess.

Most of what we had went below us into Knoxville proper.

Our guy in Knoxville checked in this morning. He's fine but no electric or Internet. Glad you guys are ok, I sent a couple of messages to you via Meebo but you must have been down.

Morning everyone.

I am actually on top of a mountain in North Georgia at a State Park.  We had to stay in the hallway until after 12:45 last night, but we never actually had a tornado.  I think they went all around us.

I have cousins that live in Ringold and my family lives in Rome both were hit yesterday.  I know my family in Rome are fine.  Have not heard about the cousins in Ringold(Catoosa County).

Those of you this is headed toward please be safe and heed the warnings.  They are very powerful storms.

I hope they are too.  Hope your family in AL is too.  Keep us updated when you hear.

My parents have not had any power since yesterday morning, but I'm sure compared to the devastation out there, not having power is nothing.  When I talked to daddy this morning, he was getting the generator out to hook it up.

Linda, thanks, the kids are okay and last I heard, so was my mother in law (she lives in Lincoln which is in Talledaga County). Anniston was right in the path of one and she is just a tad northwest of Anniston.

Of course, the younger daughter managed to keep us updated, nothing stops her, even no power. :) (she lives in downtown Pell City, St. Clair County).
