How much "about" should I expect to lose
from my two week pre surgery liquid diet plus the first two weeks after surgery. I know everyone is different, but just an estimate???? I have a 35 BMI
Also after 2 and 1/2 weeks after surgery, would most people feel up to driving their kids to an activity? I am trying to decide if my kids can attend a morning camp about 15 minutes away for two hours about 19 days after my surgery.
Thanks for the replies in advance!

At 2.5 weeks out, I could have driven 15 min to take kids to camp and back.

I can't give you an estimate as far as how much weight you'll lose.. maybe someone else can chime in.

If you have no complications you can be driving as soon as you're off narcotic pain meds. I think I drove during my second week post-op and went back to work 1/2 days after 2 weeks and a couple of days.

My doc told me, as soon as you are off narcotics for pain, there is no reason you shouldnt be able to drive. That being said, everyone is different and soreness is different in everyone.
I was driving by then, you may be able to also.
Congrats!
I didn't have a big drop in my weight like some following surgery, but I have been very consistent at losing 3 pounds a week.
Tomorrow is my six week appointment and should be at 188....which would be a total of 30 pounds lost. Its' been slow but consistent....I'll take it..
We all lose at a different pace. Don't be discouraged if you end up like me....I'm a turtle but slow and steady will get me there too!!
As for driving, I drove myself over an hour to get my drain out one week after surgery. I would have walked if I had to.
Learning new behavior is the key to success. We have a wonderful tool after surgery, but we still have to do the work. I'm telling you all this to remind myself. Prepare for a wonderful ride, but with ups and downs.
I had a 35.2 BMI pre-op and was told not to lose a single pound.
So be careful on that issue and check with your insurance company not the surgeons office about that.
As to driving, once off pain meds, it's really up to how you feel.
