New LW

Hi all I'm new to this board. have been posting in the Main Board, the DS board, and the Fibro boards for a few days now. Just a quick couple of things about me since i posted a longer intro on my blog...
i'm 42 years old, 5'4" tall, weigh 230 (yes its up from my join weight which makes me crazy) and have a BMI of 39.5. I am planning on have the DS and see my pcp on Friday (4/29) for the referral to the surgeon and get the ball rolling. In the mean time I am gathering as much info as i can about the surgery I have chosen and just trying to get myself organized for the next 7 months.
Anyway, i am so very excited to have found OH because even with medications being this heavy for me was really depressing but i's been great finding soooo many people who have "been there, done that" and are willing to share their experiences with those coming behind. Thanks for letting me hang out and learn from all of you!

Welcome!  I'm so glad you found us!  The pre-op journey can be a LONG, frustrating one, but it will be so worth it in the long run!  My year anniversary is coming up this July and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything!
