Jeans Frustrations (& Victories)
So I got fed up with wearing baggy jeans that look like I have poop in my pants. Last night I went shopping for a pair that fit. Yahoo! I can wear a size 12 in all of them.
A big frustration is that the short or petite length were mostly all still too long on me. I thought buying jeans in a smaller size would be easier. Finally I found a black pair at Macy's on clearance, and with my extra 15% off, got them for $8.50. That'll get me through for a while, and then I have 1 pair in a size 10.

I have to roll them up or wear heels. I know Roz has found some brands she doesn't have to have taken up though, perhaps she'll chime in.
Seems with me I'm a "tweener" - they're either too long or too short... I've decided too long is better.
Great deal on the jeans though - I've found ome great deals at Macy's!

I have the same problem. I try to find jeans that have short inseams. When you get closer to goal, watch for macy's sales on Calvin Klein petite jeans. They come in 27 in. inseam, which was perfect for me. They only go down to size 2. When I first bought them, they fit great and I loved them, but now, they are getting too baggy and they don't come in a '0.'
Levi, Aeropostale, and others do make jeans with shorter inseams, but you do need to look around. I also roll my jeans or wear small heels.
For nicer dress pants, Macy's has an everyday value in their Alfani Petite line. They come in basic neutral colors and their PS has an inseam of 27" Perfect with heels and for work. They only go down to size 2, so I am running out of options, since my 2's are getting too big.
Also, ankle and crop pants in petites are often the right length for me.
I am only 4'11' so i really know what you are talking about.

Same thing here. Seems like the 12Ps I found at thrift stores had better inseam lenghts than the 10P do. Some of the capris come to my ankles. So what lenght is that??? No way I am going to pay for a new hem when I am not in them that long. I can do it myself or make do. So far the brand that seems to fit best is faded glory and I think someone said they are walmart but I haven't looked for new ones.

Way to go on new jeans in a 12! At 5'8 almost 5'9 there is no way I should need petites but sometimes I do...so I know they are long if I can wear them. I have to wear heels or boots with regulars to make them work. I feel your pain about pant length. I think Tommy H. jeans seem to run more true in length and I usually get them at an outlet on sale or clearance. Cause I'm always cheap- but I like nice clothes. Dare I suggest White House Black Market---look in their clearance section, they carry petites and I love their trouser jeans; I don't wear regular styled jeans anymore (just don't like them much) but most of their jeans are bit more dressy. Soon u'll be in the 10 u got! Capri's are even worse...I hate summer and warm weather because of the pant length issue.
