Home and Sleeved!

Hello everyone!

Just a short note to say that I'm home from the hospital and everything went great! My surgeon was very pleased, and I even got a few standing ovations from the nurses when I got up to walk before everyone else, haha.

Right now I'm trying to drink some protein. If it tasted better I could probably get it down no problem, but I think people were right about your tastes changing. I tried the grape Isopure before surgery and loved it, and now it sucks.

TMI part - The only thing they weren't really happy about is that I haven't passed any gas. I'm supposed to call his office tomorrow if I still haven't by then. Maybe then he'll say it's okay to use the gas-x strips.

Anyway, I wanted to thank all of you for sending your support my way. It was nice to know that I had people in my corner rooting for me!

Come on over to the losers' bench - we are happy to make room for you! I find walking and peppermint tea helps with gas. This too shall pass, so to speak!

Welcome to the Losers Bench!  It stinks about not tooting, I had to have a bowel movement before I left the hospital.  I still hadn't passed gas but they let me go and what a wonderous feeling when it finally did happen.

Welcome home.  You will pass gas, especially when you don't particularly want to, unfortunately.  But it will happen.  Glad everything went well.

Sip, walk, rest, sip, walk, rest and you will be better in no time.
