Back from the Bahamas **Pics**
Hubby and I had a fantastic time the Bahamas. We were upgraded to 1st class on the way there, our butler upgraded our room when we got there and the whole week was fabulous. We had beautiful weather around the 80s all week. There was a little rain on Wednesday but we sat under our umbrellas at the pool until it past which was quickly. Overall eating was okay not as great as I had planned or expected. I did have to take a papaya enzyme one day after lunch as I was not feeling too well but it passed quickly and I was back to playing. I probably indulged in way too many adult beverages, but what the heck it was vacation! I got on the scale this am and was only up 1.5lbs. Definitely did not drink enough water so I am drinking a ton today.
I spent our days in a bathing suit (Tankini top and board shorts) the entire time. No covering up this time, I felt like I fit right in. What a difference form the previous trip. Hubby even joked that I was strutting my stuff around in Booty shorts..lol! I felt amazing even though I have not worked out in 6 weeks because of my back..which i had a realization about while away! I am now 100% convinced that my severe back pain is my body reacting to high fat or high sugar foods. Ones I should not be eating. Maybe a reaction to how my body dumps??? I had an egg omelet for breakfast one day with 2 slices of bacon (I considered the bacon a treat). The eggs were greasy and my back starting hurting after almost immediately. Luck for me it passed fairly quickly and did not ruin the dsay. That very familiar lower back pain is debilitating at times and required pain meds or muscle relaxer to help me get through it. Thinking back to the few times this has happened I probably did not make the best food choices. But I know now!
Our Lil man did great with my parents but was definitely ready for us when we got home and the feeling was mutual. Probably wont be able to do this again any time soon but it was a blast.
Here are a few pics. The "before" you all have seen. It was 6 yrs ago at the same resort when we got married.
Take care, Sheri
