How many sugars for you??
I went 2 years without what I call dumping. Then I had major complications as most of you know - bowel obstruction, perforated colon causing me to become septic and needed an iliostomy. Had the iliostomy reversed in February. All in all I had 4 surgeries for all this and I am lucky to be alive. The weird part and my surgeon says it makes no sense but now if I eat any type of sugar and high fat foods, I now dump by my standards. I don't get dizzy or lightheaded. The only thing that happens to me is horrendous diarhea - it litterly jumps dumps out of me. It is really gross, foul smelling and immense amounts.
I am having trouble with diarhea other times of the day also, sometimes it is just pure liquid so my surgeon is testing me for C-Diff, I have to give a stool sample this week. I do hope this is the problem, so I can just take some flagyl and it will clear up my problem. It just seems that I have diarhea all day long. It makes it very difficult to leave the house or go anywhere that doesn't have a bathroom. I have also become lactose intolerant since these surgeries, which again she said shouldn't have happened. I take tons of lactaid which helps sometimes and not others. There is no rhyme or reason when I get the runs.
