I am shocked...

I had my post-op this afternoon from having my hernia fixed and my appendix removed. My surgeon handed me the report showing that I had a malignant tumor on my appendix. He removed my appendix because it was very large and he thought there was feces inside but when tested, it was cancer. I still need to follow up with an oncologist just to make sure all of it is gone. Everything does happen for a reason and if I had not had RNY, I wouldn't have noticed the tumor for maybe years because the cancer was so slow growing and who knows what would have happened them. I am absolutely speechless right now and feel so blessed to be alive and well!!

Wow Rebecca, I'm so glad they got it out.  Good luck on your follow up.  Sometimes we don't know the reason something happens to us until it is all over.

Wow, how fortunate that you caught it early.  You were very smart to keep following up and addressing your health issues, starting with the weight loss surgery.  I wish you well on what ever treatment is coming next.

Geeze, Louise.  You had an angel looking out for you for sure.    Thank goodness you had a good surgeon who was keeping an eye out for issues also.
