Received a message - was submitted to insurance today!
Hi,
Well, I received a message that my file was submitted to insurance today. Fed BCBS. I am not sure if I will be approved or not - they need 2 yrs past weight and although I've been about the same, I've been more like 38 or 39, not over 40. I guess we will see what happens.
Meanwhile, I have been following low carb/Atkins (although today I have not stuck to plan, but didn't go crazy) and am finally starting to lose some weight. The doctor's office had said that I was not to gain nor lose weight, and no one could tell me what to do at this point so I just started my own low carb.
Love all the support on this forum. Hopefully will find out soon one way or another!
Thanks!
Lynn

That's great! I sure will be swinging lizards and praying for a huge approval for you. It's so hard to be in the dark with what people want from us, so all we can do is our best.
Good luck and keep us posted!!!
I have Boeing BCBS and they just changed my 3 month supervised diet to 6 months. Not cool.

Great news, Lynn! I do not have Fed BCBS but had similar BMI over the past 2 years. Did they have co-morbidity requirements? Did you meet those? On my insurance if you had 2 or more it didn't matter what your BMI is. Got approved with no problem and hope you do, too. If you are denied, keep fighting.
