Good Morning. Shhh! Too quiet.

I sometimes forget that not everyone is a "morning person". lol Bekah, a.k.a. June Cleaver, would tell me not to talk (post) to her until noonish or so because she was totally non-verbal until then. So, for all of you who are not morning people, I'll try to be very very quiet.

I'm not all together a morning person but I just wake up early and can't go back to sleep. It seems for the past couple of years post-op I don't need 8 - 9 hours of sleep. Is that a sign of aging or good health? I dunno. The 2 things are happening simultaneously so it's difficult to know what to attribute to age or good vitamin levels, etc. Maybe it is age because I love taking a little power nap at lunchtime and around 7:30 in the evening. Lord! I really am turning into my mother. I even catch myself telling the same story to the same person a couple of times over. {sigh}

Y'all have a great Friday and those of you in the path of the storms coming across the Midwest, be careful out there.

I am and have always been a morning person.  DH is not.  I'm up at 6-7 with no alarm and he is still in bed at 8+.  But I am in bed by 10 usually and he is up all night.  I almost never take a nap, if I do, it is a short snooze in the recliner watching tv.  He has several power naps throughout the day and evening before he finally wanders to the bed.  But after 38 yrs, it works for us.  I have my quiet time in the morning, he has his at night.

It's pretty grey out there right now.  I know we are suppose to get rain on Sat but haven't looked past that.  I've love at least a little time for my ponies in the next few days.

I'm not a morning person.  Tom is - he likes to get up at 5 - I sleep as long as I can, but then he's conked out on the couch at 9pm too... I usually wait until about 10.

I find when I'm off from work my preferred schedule is midnight to 8am - then I feel refreshed.  When I'm working and go to bed at 10 and up at 6 I feel tired.. wonder why that is?  You'd think 8 hours of sleep is 8 hours of sleep...

I find I'm telling the same story twice, because I can't remember who I told it to to start with... I think that's contributable to old(er) age...

We're back to cold weather again with the nasty *S* word in the forecast for Sunday.  Just a little but they said it nonetheless....

I love the morning.  It has always been my favorite part of the day.  I enjoy the quiet and calm before the day gets too hectic.

I'd blame it on my 20 years in the military, but DH is a night owl so that argument won't work.  We've had some minor conflicts over sleeping patterns.  Mostly we just each go to bed when we're tired.

Happy Friday!

Hi Gina, I love the morning time! You can yack at me all you want in the morning!

I open my eyes to see if it's late enough to get up yet.  I wake up wondering what the day holds for me and what joy I'll find.  This morning after 5.5 hours sleep I was awake at 5 so I read in bed for awhile before getting up.  I love that quiet time to read in the morning.  Makes me feel like I'm on vacation on Fri-Sun because I don't have to hop up to shower for work.   I love a good 5k before work in the morning to get me going and happy.  I'm lucky to be able to walk to work when it's not raining or freezing out.

I figure I can rest more when I'm old!  :)

I am so NOT a morning person!  I can happily stay up watching crappy TV until 2 am.

It's funny though, since surgery I do wake up much earlier than I used to, I'm generally out of bed at 8:30 on my days off whereas in the past I'd lie there until 10:00!

I think I am a morning person.  I get a lot more done at work in the morning.  I don't have to be at wor****il 9am so I've gotten into the habit of sleeping a little later, but I like to get up and watch TV and have my protein coffee each morning.  I used to just get up and get ready and never turn the TV on.  I do better if I go to bed by 10pm.  DH goes sometimes at 8:30, but he gets up and down all night and watches TV.  He naps during the day since he is retired.
If I take a nap it is on Sunday afternoon while I'm watching TV.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

you're so funny!  I'm up at 5:45, but no time to post in the morning, and no time to read.
Starting next week, I won't be able to check in online during the day either. The firewall at work will block this site. (shucks)

Then I'll come home and exercise, fix dinner for the dogs and play with the husband (or is it the other way around?), take a shower, and THEN I'll check in here.  Phew.  I'm ALREADY tired.
