Last 20 lbs...hoping my waist will whittle away FINALLY!

Ladies, I have been soooo patient...well, patient for me anyway LOL

BUUUT this last 20 lbs is all on my stomach and it is driving me crazy!! The rest of me looks so good and my measurements are where I wanted them to be. My waist is 5" from where it should be. It looks like pizza dough and makes none of my clothes fit right.

10s fit perfect except for the waist....12s are baggy in the butt and thigh :( I am upping my cardio and staying low carb. I know it will come off eventually.

Was this the situation for anyone else?? Did your waist decrease with the last of your weight to come off?

Yes that  was EXACTLY  my issue too.  (  just add in arms and  love handles and  back bra rolls/pooch  too )  .   But  for me the  belly  and the waist was and remains the worst  area ..alright the entire core  because I'm an apple shape .

Well last night  I went to see a Broadway show  ( Wonderland -  wonderful ! )  before it opened and I wore a very tight  silk dress with an obi sash  and basically  two  strips  of pleated silk across the titties that  met in the back  and were  joined by a slender tie  so they didnt fall off the shoulders  at the most inopportune moment .   On the sides  the dress  was entirely bare  and i couldnt wear  a bra  or anything at all underneath.

This  was a dress  that  showcases the back /sides /arms and underarm flab area  lol .   and I got away with it . Im not saying i t couldn't have been worn better  by someone firmer but I was told I looked gorgeous in it  .  Hmm.

And this without any sun  and  without any regular running or exercise  for quite a while not entirely of my own volition of course ...

So my answer to U  is that yes  things really DO tighten up  two  years or so out  if U use the salicylicacid bodyscrub  every day   and regularly  soak , exfoliate and sun to tighten the skin..... the results  are  dramatic improvement .

I actually acquired this dress  right after I had my surgery but it didnt look  good on me nor was  I small enough to fit its teeny tiny non-giving runway size waist  ( as it was i just about DIED on the way home ...  what we sacrifice for beauty lol)

I think there  are things like handheld laser  lights  that  do a little tightening that U can buy  .. Thermage works on that  principle  .. Im thinking of trying to  get an older  version of one of those machines on the secondary market .

MY stomach looks  remarkably flat  now  . I remember  5 months post op I looked at Ginas  super -defined picture  and  said how come I  don't look  like that  ....  well  i'm VERY  happy to report that  I'm starting to  ..  YAY  !!

It took a  long long time ...but I have to honestly say  I've NEVER had a bad  day with my body all this time  .    I've resisted the temptation to diet because I think diets make people  fat and rampantly  unhealthy  ... and don't teach us how to actually eat  and  keep  the bodies we want  so are totally counterproductive .  But what do I know  ...

i was the same way til i started running.  i started the couch to 5k program last sept and the weight loss has been different than ever before.  i've always had big legs....since i was a teenager playing basketball.....my legs are smaller now than they've been in the past 35 years!  and my stomach left too!  i still have the panni but it's not really bad....i do hope for a tummy tuck one day but its not big deal if i don't get it.  my waist and legs seemed to melt after i started running.  i've always been a walker....even walked the 60 mile breast cancer walk at over 200 pounds but the waist and legs left after starting to run!

it will happen for you!  and i'm not going to say to be patient....i'm not patient either....don't ever plan to try to be patient....just ain't gonna happen!  but your tummy will leave too....eventually!

hang tough!  you're doing awesome!
Blessings,  J

Oh yeah the FAST  .like Instant way  (  DUH Ava )  to get rid of abdominal fat for an apple shape  is to jog   ....or even hike or walk  a long time ...

because Ur fat  close  to the heart   U willlose a lot faster  from aerobic exercise than the average  bear (  the frustrating problem is when U stop it all comes back on like the next DAY too )  ...

but as long as U don't stop....

a tummy tuck and liposuction are  probably in Ur future realistically  .  DEFINITELY  worth the money ( insurance often pays )

Thanks Ladies for the ideas and support!

I will up the cardio and see what happens over the next few months. I plan to start my ps consults this summer so I can see what the surgeon suggests. I know an extended tt is in the works but may look at a mini thigh and arm lift too. Would have to be done after the tt though...I can't deal with that much recovery all at one time!!

Have no debt  (other than mortgage) as of right now but getting a ps loan will be well worth the $$!! My breast lift 4 years ago literally changed my life...ps done for the right reasons is a true blessing!

I have stalled for 2 weeks so I guess I am taking my frustration out on my pizza dough belly :)

I was apple shaped, skinny arms and legs and huge belly.  My stomach was the last to go and it's still not where I want it to be but It will not get any smaller (my stomach muscles are tight from a previoius TT and I have basically no body fat left.)

We all lose weight differently but I'm the same height as you and at your goal weight I still had a VERY large belly.

Well I am still fat everywhere haha buuuut, my gut and my thighs are still big. I jog a lot so maybe I should turn it into a  run like everyone is saying!

I did not lose evenly. In fact I'd say pretty much no one does. (Okay, there is probably one person.. but just one!)

I lost from the outside in and from the top down. Now, of course I was losing everywhere because every measured body part when down. But they didn't go down evenly or at the same rate. For example, I went UP a cup size at one point because my boobage was not going down as fast as my back fat.

The last to go for me was my thighs but the tummy was second last.
