Hi Jennifer,
We had hospice care for my step father-in-law when he had pancreatic cancer and lived with us the last 6 months of his life several years ago. Great program and such caring people. It takes a very special person to do that type of work. Thank you for what you do. It tells me you are a very caring person.

Nice to meet you Jennifer! Glad to hear your recovery is going well :) Also so happy to hear that you are including exercise, I know a lot of post-ops who don't exercise and I really believe it makes all of the difference in the world for health and looks. You coming up on your smallest weight in 10 years is a huge accomplishment and I hope you celebrate well! (with out food of course :)) Don't be shy!! You definately have a great support system here Jennifer.
Hey there -- I'm Meg -- soon to be post-op Meg in 17 days! WOOOO HOOO for now I'm pre-op Meg and I need to get my husband to take a picture of me. A coming out party is in order!
I have the VSG procedure scheduled for 4/28 and have been going through the process for 9 months now -- kind of feels like birthing another baby. My DH and I have a 5 year old DD who lights up our world.
Trying to tie up loose ends at work and stay sane (which is no easy feat) and take care of business at home along with prep for the big day. I cannot wait to be on the other side of this process. I am so ready.
Thanks for starting this thread, Rebecca!

Hi Rebecca, I'm Kim, and I'm 45 years old. I had VSG surgery on December 1 and have lost 57 lbs. so far. I want to lose at least another 38. Wow, I didn't realize until I wrote this that I have just 38 to go.
I work full time as a financial analyst, I'm married, and have a step daughter. My step daughter made me a grandma, and that baby girl is the light of my life.
Every day I count this surgery as one of my biggest blessings.

Hi, My name is Amber. I am 28 yrs old. Married to my husband Danny for 5 yrs. I have a 4 yr old son and a 2 yr old daughter. I am also a nursing student. I am going though the 6 month pre op program. I am in month 4, hoping to have surgery in june/july. I am learning so much through reading the boards. Thank you all :)
I'm another Rebecca - or I answer to Randi as well (long story dating back to college).
16 months after RNY, 4 months after first round of reconstruction, 3 weeks after second and final round of reconstruction.
I'm down 133 pounds total from highest known pre-op (I know I was higher, just wouldn't weight myself to find out how much), and working a maintaining right here - NO MORE LOSS! Maybe even a couple pounds gain would be nice!
I'm a school psychologist, married to the same guy for 32 1/2 years, have a married daughter who's 25 and teaches driver's ed and coaches skating. No grandchildren yet, and we keep telling DD that since she can't have sex until she's 30, it'll be a while before she gives us any. She just rolls her eyes at us. Currently, I spoil 2 cats and drive my Mustang convertible.
