2 month checkup and mammogram pseudo-NSV

Last week I saw my surgeon and NUT for my 2 month checkup (at 7 weeks).
NUT said to eat 1000 calories (200 calories more than what I'm averaging) so that I don't go into starvation mode. She also said that sufficient carbs are essential for brain power.  I was around 80 carbs and she said that was ok.

After my checkup, surgeon said I was doing great.  Didn't spend much time with me, which made me sad, cuz he is eye candy and sweet to boot. But he did all the necessary surgeony things, and said "see ya in 2 months."  I, frankly, consider THAT a date!!  (smile)

Then I went to see my OTHER surgeon (the one that takes care of my bewbies and my thyroid), the one *****commended Dr. Long cuz they are in the same practice.  While reviewing my mammogram, he nonchalauntly says "Yep, you can see you've lost weight in your breasts between last year's scan and this year's."

So my weight loss has been confirmed by MAMMOGRAM!  Technology in action.

Jeez, I am so overdue for a mammogram it isn't funny. I hate having them done since I have implants and it hurts like hell when they squish and sqeeze them.
Good for you in getting it done.

I don't have implants but have noticed that the new digital mammograms aren't any where near as hurtful as the old ones.  I thought they were kidding and going to have to do them all over again it was so different.

Excellent reports but I don't agree with your NUT. Surprised, right? lol  Your body will convert protein and fats to the glucose your brain needs to function at top speed, you don't need to feed your body sugar and carbs for that.

If it is working for you, good.  I have never felt mentally or physically harmed by having less carbs and there are days my net is under 10.

Haven't had my mammogram yet since surgery.  As flat as mine are, you should just about be able to see through them without much equipment at all.

Is your surgeon single....  I had the cutest young surgeon who liked to tell me about his love life...LOL.

Every NUT's thinking is different and you have to see what works for you but I never ate 1000 calories until I hit goal and I never ate more than 40 carbs in a day.  "Bad" carbs are the enemy as far as I'm concerned.  "Good" Carbs like beans, vegetables, and fruit are pretty much the only carbs I ate while I was losing.

Pretty much the only carbs I normally get are from milk, beans, and one daily fruit.
Mostly milk actually.

I think the surgeon wears a wedding band.  Nonetheless, I am married. Happily. Blissfully so.

Do you eat/drink low fat?

LOL about the surgeon.....What does your DH think about you losing weight? My DH still worries about me and I'm 2.5 years out.

DH doesn't say much about the weight loss.  Every now and then he'll comment on where he sees I've lost.  From the gitgo he said "I want you to be healthy so you're around for a long time." He's really supportive in non-verbal ways.  Doesn't fuss when I don't cook every night, accepts that I spend tons more time exercising and tons less time doing chores. The only thing he gets fussy about is the time I spend on the computer (usually here on OH). I suppose if i told him it was my support group, he'd fuss less.

I have an amazing husband. He's cute too!

Sounds like you had a great check up Tracey.  Congratulations on the success you have had so far.

I'm with the others on that sounds like a lot of calories for this early out, but I had RNY and I know it is different.  I stayed around 600-800 during the rapid weight loss.
