Ah, Liz, thank you for telling me that.  I think I am doing ok, not fantastic.  But I'm impatient.

YESSSS! Salads and I are back together after an 8 week hiatus.  I eat a salad every day in the afternoon as a snack.  Soft red and green leaf lettuce is wonderful and I can eat more than a cup (stuffed).  The soft parts of romaine do well too.  I chew well and use my homemade dressing (1/3 cup EVOO, 2/3 cup fresh lemon juice, 1/2 tsp salt and 2 tsp sugar)

Today I finally tried cooked kale.  It was much heavier than the lettuce, but still it tasted good, and I was able to eat nearly 1/2 cup.

The best part of eating letltuce is that my gut really missed it.  Seems as if greens are what make me "regular," if ya know what I mean.

I've been eating salads too. And each trip to the grocery store sees me adding something new to my list of stuff I use to eat. This week was the carrots, last week was radishes, week before was cukes. I figure if I add one item a time, if something suddenly disagrees with me, I know what it is.

I'm adoring salads, been making mine a meal by adding either chicken and drowning it in dressing or steak. :) YUM!!!!

Thank you for remembering about my love affair with my missing salads, and thanks for posting the Sunday weigh in.  My friggin' computer has been giving me fits since Saturday night, and it took me til an hour ago to fix the crappy thing. Seems like I've been hacked (again), so I have to put on my work hat and clean up again.  There are times I feel like just leaving the trojans and backdoors and viruses on the machine and saying "Here, fine take my machine to make a zombie you *#!@*! "

I, being a confirmed optimist, planted cauli, broccoli, cabbage, brussel spts, and spring onions in the garden, as well as 4 kinds of lettuce, swiss chard, and beets. Smile, it's so much easier to clean up messes in the garden than on the computer, donchano?

Last week 131.2
This week 126.8
Total loss  4.4

Wow, that is a lot but it probably isn't real accurate because I, well, let's just say I feel pretty cleaned out today.  I will probably show a gain next week because of it and also because I am having  surgery on Friday and will probably have some fluid gain from that as well so I'm going to enjoy this loss while I have it.

I hope your surgery on Friday goes well.

That is an excellent loss. :)

Last week:  157  this week 157!

Maintaining but still want to loose another 8 lbs.  Need to get back on the band wagon when I return from my trip.  I have been cleared to resume exercising when I return so hopefully my back will cooperate and let me get to my goal plus a little more for bounce back.

Good luck next week everyone!  I'll be back in time to weigh in

Maintaining is good, but if you want another 8 lbs gone, I'll be the first to cheer you on...

Just take it easy when you first start back to exercising.

Last Sunday - 170.6
This Sunday - 170.0

Uggghhhh.... seems to be taking forever to make up for bad decisions a week and a half ago. But "toning" classes are going well. I really like them.

Even oz count, they do add up.

And I bet you are seeing a difference in your size. Liz

I stayed the same this week...172.

My waist went down 3/4" though so I guess my body is adjusting. I can't wait to get these 18 lbs off to get to my 1st goal! It seems these last lbs are all from my abdomen...it makes it so hard to find clothes that fit right :(
