Can't believe I spaced it!!
Thank you for stopping by to let us know how real and how human we can get as time goes on. (I dare not say "normal" within throwin' distance of the other gals on the bench. heh heh) Really am happy for you and I appreciate the example you chose to be to us today.

Ruthie, I do think it is important for folks to know when you get farther out, you do have some leyway (sp?) in your eating....BUT on the other hand I see some newbies pushing their pouch before their stitches are healed up! If you mess up everyday....it will be a problem down the road....I think for the best outcome folks need to wait to experiment until they are at goal and 18 months out....get all you can out of the WLS......before you try to get back into old patterns. But is nice to know you can have an occasional (small) piece of cake or something and still maintain.....
I do love my WLS!

Wow. That's a new way to look at it. I personally have experimented just to see if there was going to be any horrible reaction to sugar because I've found myself eating hidden sugars without knowing, and didn't want to get caught unawares away from home if it was going to be an issue. I don't have any reaction at all so far, and I'm glad of it and feel very blessed. *Extremely* blessed because the *craving* for sugar was taken away by WLS. (who says it doesn't fix your head? LOL) Other than that I'm still trying to be very considerate of my pouch and taking the time to listen and learn what my body is saying to me. I think that's important. Glad you are here sharing and hope you'll stop by more often. Repeating to us newbies what you've learned, solidifies your own foundation! ;-)
