Good Morning. OT: stall busted but still a mess
Here's a vote for a true multi-party system. I used to teach US History/Government (yeah, that's why I'm a political junkie), and was constantly depressed by how many of my students truly believed that we are a 2 party system, and that you HAVE to vote for a Democrat or Republican or you are wrong. They had no idea that the founding fathers didn't start those parties, and were astonished at the changes over the years in philosophies! Every time a major election comes up, our school district has a student mock election online. Every time, I need to call/email/stomp over and demand that they add candidates beyond Republican and Democrat. And some of the people who set it up are astonished that there are other parties or independent candidates who are viable out there! Multi-parties force alliances and negotiation. Solely 2 parties result in tug-of-war, and half the participants dragged through the mud!
Rant over, off my soap box.
Today... shopping. I'm out of my good peanut butter (PB&Co that I mix in with yogurt a couple times a week), and apple butter for the same purpose, and then I have a free panty coupon from VS that I'm going to use and finally Trader Joe's for yogurt, milk, and veggies!
And then... with whatever time I have left, knitting! I finished the back of a cute spring sweater (cables and moss stitch in a bright turqoise), and am starting the front.

I think of myself as politically savvy but I recently found out that when they say "reach across the aisle" they mean it literally. I had no idea Dems sat on one side and Reps on the other. I don't know about the Independents. I think they should sit alphabetically, or better yet, change their seats every few weeks like some teachers do in school. How can you possibly get to know and understand someone else's point of view if you only talk with those who think like you?
As for today,
We had a service at temple to honor my father-in-law who passed away three years ago at 93. My DH read the Haf Torah beautifully and everyone was so gracious. I didn't know my father in law for very long (I had only been married a year) but I was so fortunate to know him and I do miss him.
After a three hour nap I'm now about to organize my office and then will pick up a friend from the airport.
BTW-wht happened to Fashion Post? Especially after your shopping trip?
