Fitness Fun - April 6th
Happy HUMP DAY lw's...
Day looks like its going to be a nice one. Clear skies this morning on the drive in to work. I've been focusing on rebuilding the exercise routine so I have only been working on cardio these days. BUT let me tell you its high intensity cardio...no foolin' around on those machines...lol
Today is my long day so I will squeeze in a workout at lunch. Planned 45 min high intensity cardio. Then it's back to work for the second half of the day and on to class tonight...home by 10pm and snoring by 10:15...haha
Last night I did go work out in the evening and let me tell you my body does not like that at all. I didn't seem to have the same "umpf" if you know what I mean. I kept intensity high and heart rate going great but burned less calories and just felt overall MORE tired. What is the time of day YOUR body doesn't like to exercise? What is the BEST time for you?
What is your fitness fun for today?
Have a great day everyone....

Diana, did I ever ask you what you are in school for? I admire you for working your 9-5 and then going to school! I did that, and it's not easy. I'm thankful my "job" is built into my grad program.
I prefer to work out mid day, but it's not always possible. I've always worked out at night/afternoon because thar's when the TKD or other fitness classes have been. I'm NOT a morning person, so I could never go to the 5-6am classes. However, I notice that I am not as fresh later at night, and the best workouts I've gotten have been my husband's noon kettlebell classes on Saturdays. With more thought, though, I don't know if that's because I get more sleep on the weekends and am better rested overall and have less stress on the weekends. Food for thought. :)
Anyway, I have to get through some books and articles today. I have 2 weeks til my comprehensive master's exams!! (AHHHH!!!!) I want to take the dogs for a short walk at lunch and maybe I will try to do some kettlebell exercises as a short break between articles/books. Unfortunately, exercise has fallen to the wayside these days and will continue to do so til my exams are done. :(

Hi Abby, I am going through the MBA program. Will be done at the end of this year...yay!! What do I want to do with it?? HHhhhhmmn either go corporate (I'm a state worker now) or open my own biz. I work 50 miles away from my home and I work 10-hr shifts so on my non-school days, I have 13 hr days. Then add the workouts after...BUT on school days, I go from work to home so that adds on another 4 1/2 hrs...so I have 17-18 hrs long days. Today is a long day...
I am not a morning person either...lol but ironically due to my schedule am up @ 3:45 each work day. on the weekends, I am sleeping in waking up around 9:30 or so...,ha.
Right now I am debating if today should be a rest day...hahaha but prob will go anyways :)
You study up now...

those are long days. Oh my.
I went to Curves this morning and drove Chili this afternoon. My favorite time to exercise is morning, early. The later in the day, the less energy I have. I'm an early to bed, early to rise person.

My body doesn't like working out ANY time of day.... but when I usually do, its after work.
Today was walking DC again. I can feel it in my legs, which is a good thing. I tend to walk faster than Tom, so it was more of a stroll for me than a good walking workout, but walking is walking. It was a few miles. Wish I brought my pedometer...
