New Hobby
have you pulled up the coarse and elevations? looks like a lot of the race is down hill (maybe half) but they say that running down hill is really hard on your knees and that's where most injuries occur! of course, cardiac hill will be a real doosie.....good that the top of the hill is right at piedmont hospital!! can't believe i'm doing it! is your hubby running with you!
i'm sure we'll (my running buddy and i) walk most of it! i struggle running a 5k! my hubby has really bad arthritis in his knees and says he'll cheer me on from home!
of course....with me....it's country goes to town! i've only ridden marta a couple of times so that will be an experience! i'm sure i'll have lots of stories to tell....as will you!!!
i'm sure i'll start in the back as i put on the registration that i've never run the race before. i'm nervous but excited at the same time!!!
My niece and I are doing it. I'm pretty sure we will be in the next to last wave because of our prior time. We did the Jingle Jog in Atlanta. My hubby didn't want to try it with me. He walks with me when I walk, but he doesn't want to go much over 2 miles and he only wants to walk he won't try to jog or anything.
I haven't looked at the course. My niece lives in Carrollton so I will come up there and spend the night with her and we will catch Marta somewhere and ride in. She did it last year. I've never riden Marta so I'll really be country goes to town!! Do you live in Georgia? I'm in Southwest Georgia. I might have asked you this before and just can't remember!!
I know there is another OH person that got in also. I'm excited and hope I can atleast finish and hopefully not be the last person to finish!!
Linda
so happy you will be there!!! sending training blessings your way!
