DH & I broke down and bought new bicycles yesterday -- trail bikes.  We thought it would be a good way to get exercise.  We did our first ride this morning ... 10 miles on a nice path. It was a fairly easy way to start out and a fun activity to do together.

I gotta say, "My tushie is SORE."  I know I just have to gut it out the next few days and ride through the soreness.

Good stuff! My husband refuses to run but will bike so this spring/summer we should be on trails days I am not running.

I don't look forward to the sore tushie either, that's the worst part of starting biking.

Neat.  I rode a bike when we were in town and the land around me was a lot flatter.  There are too many big hills here but they are fun and good exercise.

Ride baby ride,

This is one of my goals.....to be back on a bike again and able to ride!  I am impressed!

Some people invest in shorts with padding for the butt and I have heard they are worth the price!  Something to consider........

10 miles is great Kay.  I bet your tushie is going to be really SORE!!

We rode around Callaway Gardens and Jekyll Island(both here in Georgia) several years ago and it was fun.  Last time I tried to do the Callaway ride, I had to quit because I just couldn't do it.  I need to try again now!!

Enjoy your bikes!!

I got in!!!  Now I have to get ready for it.  I'm sure I will walk most of it.  Maybe I can jog a little.
Thanks
