Good Morning. Needing some intense retail therapy

I've been holding off buying anything new in anticipation of shopping this weekend with Jody. {climbing the walls}  DH has been forewarned and I think he's ok with it.  lol  Now all I need is a shopping list or list a mental list. At almost 4 years out, I'm wearing my clothes out rather than out growing them. Strange, huh?  So, off we go to the outlets--I hope they have some spring and summer clothes left and not just winter.

Jody, I'll need help choosing clothes that hide my old lady pooch. Looking forward to Saturday's shopping and meeting your BF Saturday evening.

Y'all have a great Friday! Do you have retail plans this weekend?

I did all my shopping yesterday and they definately had summer stuff out.  I didn't even try any on.  I have been stocking up somewhat on a few summer tops and capris for those few hot days we will get, maybe.  It has been so cold this week it is hard to think summer plus I have those last pounds that I want to come off so I can at least get into a 10, maybe someday an 8.  I did get a chance to "research" where some good everyday type clothes can be found at good prices so I will be out again in a month or so.

Oh a girl's week end of shopping sounds like such fun.  Wish I was there!

I've dropped from a size 18 to a 14, and they're getting big on me.  It's funny, I thought a few weekends ago that I had to do a little shopping for pants/jeans.  Then I found a basket of clothes I had stored away, found pants/jeans, and didn't have to shop.  The pants are sort of out of style, but they fit.  I just tell myself once I get to a size 10, I'll get a few new things because I'll need them.  Also I don't want to buy too much till I'm at goal.

The only plans so far are for me and hubby to go to a movie.  I think I'll try to get back into the book I started to read.  Have fun!

Sounds like a great way to spend your Saturday.  No retail plans for me this weekend.

I have a friend who is retiring from the Army.  We're going to a cookout at his house to celebrate.  It should be fun with our friends there.  His wife is a dietitian in the Army.  Her focus is sports nutrition (crazy lady has done 3 Ironmans).  She always has good healthy food.  Although the beer usually compensates for the healthy food.  (No, I'm not drinking.  Still the designated driver and happy to be.)

Enjoy your time with Jody.  I have to admit I'm a tad jealous.  I don't have any WLS friends locally.  Thank goodness for you LWs.  I don't know how I'd manage without this support system.

I hope you have a fun shopping expedition this weekend with Jody, Gina. Oh, how I miss shopping for clothes! It is challenging during the lose cycle - especially pants. I bought a snug pair a month ago that are now getting too loose. I think my next shopping investment has to be a belt! In the meantime, I am sticking with the thrifts and Kohl's.

I have my sleep study tonight. I am hoping that I can say goodbye to the CPAP but I think my sleep apnea is structural, not just weight-related. Fingers crossed!

Me me me!  The women in my office told me yesterday that I need to shop because I am dressing like an old lady in clothes that are too big on me.  Bah humbug.  I like those loose linen tops that are classic and stylish.  They want me in tight little numbers from Macy's.  Not really my style.  Give me good linen anyday.  It's still cool enough to keep wearing my cords with tshirts.  Wish I could wear jeans to work!!

My big problem is going to be tops for spring.  My arms are big big big.  Surgeon told me this week that the plastics guy will fix them quite nicely if I so choose.  All of the smaller tshirts have those capped sleeves which are NOT attractive on my arms.  Putting one on is the surest way to send me into a bout of self hatred about my body.  I don't want to have to wear 3/4 length all summer but will if I have to.  I thought about trying on some boys tshirts for playtime to go with capri's.  If you find a great brand in women's longer/short sleeves, please tell me!

I think Nordstrom rack and Eileen Fisher outlets are on my agenda this weekend.  :)

Did I mention that I'm so jealous that you're going shopping with Jody?  I am green with envy!!!

Lee, PM me about the plastics. My arms are wrinkly and my butt flaps are UGH, but I don't know what the requirements are for the insurance to cover plastics. My panni isn't as bad as some, so I don't think that would be covered.

Im a big  believer  in fixing  what U need to pS wise .

rather than trying  to hide it with clothing  or live with it .   Its  very akin to  fixing  your  excess weight with WLS - once its done  its like U can move onto  other problems .

And its fairly cheap .

Ava, I totally agree and like the way that you think. For once in my life, I would love to have a flat stomach and good looking boobs.
