Any regrets on having surgery???

Good luck on this decision.......I did not tell a lot of people about my upcoming surgery but I certainly received a mixed opinion from those I did tell from being overwhelmingly supportive to those who thought it was a horrible decision.   Ultimately this is my life......my health and my decision.  I need this tool cause I tried everything else!

There have been a few days when I thik what did I do to myself..but it goes away very soon when I look at the mirror and see the person I always knew I was.  When I was obese I got lost in myself, clammed up in a shell and there was this peson dying to come out.  I isolated friends that were not fat like me and eventually isolated all of them because I embarrasement.  I never could have done this on my own. I had RNY adn while I claim to not dump, I think I actually do but not as severe as others.  So without all the fluff. I wold do it all over again knowing what I know now.  Good luck with your decision.

Sorry I am late to this thread..my answer is NO..not once did I question this surgery. I was lucky to not have had any depression,I had excitement..I could not wait to get on the other side to start LIVING! And that I am doing! I am so thankful for OH..it has helped me alot to prepare and for guidance as I go day by day through life. I have had mostly positive feedback with friends and family. I have had a couple ppl try to get me down..but I have too many Good friends and family to boost me up.:)
