what is the signs of a grouchy pouch?
I was 2 weeks post op as of yesterday. I found out not long after my surgery that I was lactose intollerant which made my full liquid diet really hard to get through. Yesterday the surgeon passed me onto soft foods/pureed stage. The first thing I had was egg salad and it seemed to go over fairly well. I had that for dinner. Right before I went to bed I took my thyroid med which is a small pill but I also took my prilosec which is a capsule and it did not go down very well. All night my stomach was making ungodly noises and I had uncontrolable burps. I was pretty miserable. I just started back to work today and I have been fairly uncomfortable. I have trapped gas feeling under my left rib. I have taken gas x but it is not helping. I have been really bloated all day. Is this a grouchy pouch or is it something else?

Grouchy pouch is more when its upset - doesn't hurt - just doesn't "feel right" and whatever you eat/drink doesn't set well.
I haven't really had gas associated with grouchy pouch. I think what you have is just residual form surgery.
