Will be submitted to insurance now! Now the wait begins!
Hi,
I am so excited/nervous about finally being submitted for insurance, now just waiting to see if it actually goes thru. I have Fed BCBS, I saw Dr March 2010, BMI was almost 41, then decided I didn't want surgery. This year when I went back to clinic they started me off with supervised weight loss class - BMI 40.3, 2nd visit was with surgeon again, BMI 39.5, today at last visit was 39.4.
I don't have any co-mobidities except arthritis - only take Advil for it, but I think they are going to stress arthritis and joint pain - on my checkout sheet the diagnosis was osteoarthritis (I don't know if I've ever really been diagnosed in past with it as my PCP has said - everybody over 25 probably has it).
Anyway - I think everything has been done. I am so excited/nervous about everything!
Thanks for all the support. They said it would be a couple of weeks before I know. I will be on pins and needles!

I'm hoping they're using your 41BMI for insurance. Swinging lizards for you!

Good luck! I also have FED BCBS - but it was 2 1/2 years ago when they didn't require much. I also had arthritis as my only comorbidity... and it was enough.
Mine also was approved in 2 1/2 hours - how time has changed!

Good luck. Insurance approval can be pretty quick these days so don't be surprised if you hear soon. Then hang on. It is quite a ride.

Good Luck! This was the hardest part for me...the waiting. We went to Jamaica for a 10 days and my approval was waiting when I got home. Jamaica didn't stop me from obsessing about approval. I checked my email everyday hoping for a note from the Dr office which never came. The approval letter was in my stack of snail mail when I got home.
My fingers are crossed for ya!
