Seeking Your Suggestions: Traveling Tips???

We don't travel near 100 days a year but we do put our time in.  If it's a long trip I aways take zip lock bags of Protien in my carry on and I get searched every single time.  My Dr. wrote me an excuse but I've never had to use it.  Our last trip to FL the Agents who searched it were all curious as to where I bought my Lemon Tea at.  It was rather commical.  I packed them one time in my boarded bag and they searched it and they didn't close the bags the whole way and it made a terrible mess in my bag.  I think the sniffer dogs must pick up the protein scent.

I use a baby formula container for my protein that I use at the airport and then on the plane I ge****er and ice when they serve drinks.  Aren't the shaker cups the best!!!

Eating out is hard when you are away but you have a good foundation for what works best for you so I'm sure you will do fine.  The tuna sounds like a great idea.  I usually pack jerky, nuts, protein bars, raisens, and beef sticks/cheese.

After you figure out what works for you then you can pass it on to the rest of us....LOL

My travel is mostly by plane. If I cannot find a kitchen suite hotel, I let the hotel know when I make the reservation that I have a medical condition that requires a frig - works every time! I also ask the concierge before I go where there is a grocery store. I then do a little shopping on the first night for greek yogurt, RTD protein drinks, LF cheese. Also, you can find usually protein drinks at 7-11s and CVS.

I like to keep a protein bar in my purse, just in case. I also bring protein powder, a mini tuna pack, babybel, and crystal light.

Thanks, all of you, for your suggestions.

Starbucks was my morning "meal" whenever possible.  That simplified my day.
We ate out every meal, and at one meal I discovered that mixing protein in a shaker cup can attract alot of unwanted attention, even if done in the parking lot next to the car.

The yogurt parfait at Cracker Barrel is tasty and just the right size (about 1/2 cup) plus fresh fruit on top and granola served on the side. Their grits are also good, but for my stomach, still way too heavy, and I tried 2 different days.

I packed tuna fish and peanut butter and crackers, and the pb and crackers was the easiest for me in the car. Of course, for me, 2 crackers and a bit of pb was plenty.

I was able to get 8 oz bottles of skim milk at two of our hotel's breakfast bars with plans to make a protein drink later in the day.   The problem was that I had to go back to the car from our sightseeing tours to get the stuff, and I didn't want to miss anything to do that.  So I ended up eating soups AND TWICE A SALAD (as many of you know, I've been going through lettuce withdrawal).

The only bad thing about the trip was that my guts and intestines seemed to think they too were on vacation, so I'm spending today drinking MOM, magnesium citrate,  and prune juice.  YIKES~!
