Good Morning. I'm so glad I found the LW board
I actually posted first on the RNY board, but after finding the LW board I hardly ever post on the RNY board anymore.
I have depended on so many of you here to help with my journey. I love the every day posts and the weekly posts. I think they help us to really get to know each other better and to see the different WLS's.
When I really don't have anything else to do, I look at the Main board - I would never post there because I might get eaten alive!!
I know I need to get on more on the weekends. There is always so much going on. I'll try to be better. I usually try and catch up on Sunday afternoon.
Hope everyone is having a great Monday.
Linda

I found this board after a very ugly flaming party on the main board. I naively had posted on the main board looking for support after my revision. I had made the mistake of talking about some of the problems I had with my first surgery. Big mistake. You don't say anything negative about this particular surgery. And no one revises FROM it, only to it. I was called some nasty names, had my intelligence and my sanity questioned, it wasn't pretty. Oh, and my surgeon was a butcher and I was an idiot for going to him. I even had threads made about me on this particular board, the subject basically being what a loser I was. Why I stayed with OH I will never know.
I also got some very nice messages of support and it was suggest I come here and I have never been sorry. People could learn what support is by coming to this board. People here support without judgment. There is compassion here, an understanding from people who have walked in our shoes and are trying to have better lives and better health. We help each other instead of tearing each other down. No one is better then anyone else here because of the surgery they choose, the weight they lost or how long it has been since they had surgery. We each have something to give.
I have found support on my surgery board, too but this is the best place on OH.

I agree too! "There is no place like home" I mean the LW board of course. Once I found this board i stopped the others. No one on those boards is as friendly and compassionate as you all are here. I do a lot of lurking but have been trying to post more. I do get bummed on the weekends when there are no new posts but maybe that is a reason to start one!

Like Price, my surgeon's support group is far, for me 2 hours away. So I pop in for support here every day. I think it's like a war zone in some of the other OH forums, the shrapnel flies and sticks, and I haven't spent any real time in other WLS websites.
I do try to post on the weekends actually. I want to pay it forward for all the kindnesses the LW Goddesses have shown me.

I dont post much, though I really should. I read them almost everynight before I go to bed. You guys are the reason I made it though the first 4 months, which were really rough for me. I came here for support and I got it! Suggestions for protein, vitamins, or just if I needed to vent. And I made a very good new friend in Maria. She actually called me on one of my darker days in the beginning and we talked for hours. And she made me feel ...well.. not so crazy, ya know? Only people who have been on this journey understand how we feel. I appreciate each and everyone of you more than you know. And I promise I will try and post more...especially on the weekeds. We need to spice things up!!
I love the LW board!!! Joan
