NSV in the bathroom for me.

Hey gals,

Hope all is well with everyone. I had a really cool NSV the other day. O.K., I lured you in with the bathroom thing, but that's just where it happened, not a big part of the story. I was in a truck stop (I travel a lot for work) making a pit stop and looked in the mirror and saw my sister - not my mom. My mom has always been really heavy and even though she had RNY two years ago, she still only lost down to about 210 (for a 5'1 person). Anyway - my sis is very active and has never had much of a problem with weight.

I looked square in the mirror and my face even had that beginning of a "turkey neck" as my sister calls it on herself. It was such a cool moment. I am so happy with this surgery, I could throw a party.

I'm not the best rule-follower and I'm having some issues - but overall, this is such a cool deal.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

i used to walk past a mirror and not know if I was my mother or father.  I totally understand.  There just isn't anyone thin in my family so I don't look like anyone now.

It is a cool deal for sure.

I'm getting that turkey neck, too.  Personally I don't want to see my sister in the mirror!  But I know what you mean.  Enjoy that great feeling every time you look in the mirror.

You know..I really really identify with you.

My sister has always been thin..never a weight problem at all.... I don't see her in me yet..but I'm looking forward to that moment and when I do, I'll think of you!
